Ugh, there seems to be something of a trend here; from the sound of things, the compressor in our central A/C unit went Tango Uniform yesterday. I wonder how long it will take to get it fixed, and how much that will cost.

Ac units only go out when it's hot, and furnaces only go out when it's cold.:D
After I get done with this ac unit I may look at replacing my furnace before winter. It's 20 years old and it's probably time. It's a goodman, I'll replace it with the same. They are less expensive than the bigger brands and I have had good luck with them I can buy a furnace for about a grand and replace it myself, it's not a hard job to do, I've done them before.

Sorry... I don't read minds. Thanks for the context. Without context it was just a bunch of unrelatable words.

    That sounds great!
Anytime it is under $100 here in SoCal, it is a good month! Luckily, the summer has been mild (so far). I live about 15 miles south of Temecula and get a good breeze from the ocean, so no need for AC yet, this year. Low humidity helps (thanks to California's cold Pacific current)... but when the tropical storms come north from Baja, in August-September, that brings humidity...

My a/c bill was 125$. That was a month straight. Set at 75 degrees. And it was hot with humidity.

Yes, they are all over Baja California, near the coast... up on high signs or cactus, typically.
While driving on the beach (south of San Felipe), my wife tried to capture a photo of an osprey with a fish, flying alongside my Tacoma...

More osprey photos (as I look for a nest photos):

Nesting cardón cactus... I see a couple of birds, but the typical osprey nest made from sticks often on this one is not apparent, yet:

Maybe looking for a spot to build a nest on this Punta Abreojos sailboat street light?

A small nest on another street light pole
    [IMG]

Along the salt flat route to San Juanico (Scorpion Bay) is an abandoned project with several very tall poles that ospreys have utilized for nest building:
