Mini split installation is finished. I made the refrigerant line connections and then the electrical. Black cable is the controll cable from the inside air handler. Grey cable is the 220 line from the disconnect. Cables are kept tight to the wall to not obstruct air flow to the compressor. 20250803_172433.jpg
I vinyl wrapped the lines and tucked everything up tight to the bottom of the compressor for a nice clean looking install, again so it doesn't obstruct air flow. Having everything 2 feet off the ground will keep it out of the snow in the winter. You can see the condensate drip hose at the front left of the unit.

The inside air handler is very quiet and it displays the temp it is set at.

So this is how I gave the finger to our local rip off hvac companies. Quotes I had where from 5 to 11,000 dollars and that didn't include the furnace. I'm into this unit $2600 and that's for everything, electrical, anchors, wall bracket, etc. Anyone with basic hand tool skills can do this. I worked on it a few hours a day after work. All the refrigerant lines where pre charged and I didn't need any extra equipment to charge the unit.

Sure do appreciate the pics and info on the installation. Great to know that you could give the finger to the HVAC companies. That system sounds like the way to go.
