I saw a super brave coyote teenager trot through the woods, small clearing, yard area, right up to neighbors side door. Wow!!

Rufus hummers will do that, but there's an easy solution.
Get a 3rd feeder and make up a solution that is just a tiny bit sweeter than the other 2 feeders.
Then hang the sweetest feeder out and a good distance from the other 2. The Rufus will guard the sweetest feeder and leave the other 2 feeders alone.

A few years back I was standing in the back yard and turned to see a yote trot right past me.

Morning gunny. Had a decent day yesterday. Golfed then played traffic cop. This guy from Canada had a permitted travel permit. But was printed wrong.

He bottomed out. Permit said west when he should have gone east.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/dueling pontificators. Back there somewhere among the slings and arrows I think I saw a spotted lanternfly. They came to the US in a load of stone, which load was deposited at a stone seller-slash-quarry operation about 5 miles from our house as the crow flies. Our friend just up the hill from there was inundated with them the year after. We were inundated the year after that. The lanternflies have been moving outwards in a concentric circle ever since. Last month on our way to Cape Cod I saw quite a few of them north of NYC. Around here their numbers dropped precipitously after that first year, and now we see just a few here and there. Other insects have learned to eat them as have some birds (I think), because I find pieces of them here and there.

Hurricane Erin stayed blissfully offshore this week. Thank goodness because folks to the south of us sure don't need another hurricane running over them just yet! They're still digging out from the last one over a year ago. We had a day of unsettled weather, that was it. I'll take it.
