I didn’t say born I said coming of age.

Which I define that loosely as 20 years old. This definition is debatable for sure

Re-read his post. He didn't say 'born', he said 'come of age'. Eighteen year difference.

Yes, I admit it. I read it as pertaining to the thread. Either way I don't see the mid-eighties as "coming of age" in any way I would recognize... but as he already admitted, it could be debatable.

I saw that. I also saw that he had gotten a ban from the 'Whatever' thread and kinda went off the rails...apparently got lippy with a mod. At least he backed down before they made it a perma. Seems to be a pretty good dude. Hope he reflects on the situation and rejoins.

It is the end of Father knows Best if you follow. Pretty substantial cultural change. Behavior change is to be expected. Morals change and humans being human.

Too me it has always meant:

Get your head out of the clouds and buckle down. Carnal knowledge comes earlier for some or comes with life when it comes. For many it means finishing college and first real job and paying taxes.

I got caught in a few myself as I was working outside with trees around me. They are here for a reason and I leave them alone, for the most part, but when an oversized one ends up in my hair and running down the back of my neck I tend to freak out a bit. At least these in Western Washington don’t get real big. That can’t be said for the ones we had in our gardens in Japan. They were like freakin tarantulas, and they made it into the house on more than one occasion.
