I should be able to take some better pics tomorrow. I had to rush off to a meeting at my son's school this afternoon. I also had to mail off my old grille to another member. I had it priced to sell. Nothing like passing on a good deal to another member.

    Good morning all.

The grille mod is complete and I really like the way the front end is looking. Installing the color matched grille was definitely the way to go. The front end looks a lot cleaner now.

Here is a pic of the way the front end used to look. The brown grille just made the front end a little too busy fo me.

I am off to Radio Shack to pick up a few diodes, wire, and a switch to support the new HU install.

morning all! went to a junk yard yesterday to scrounge some aluminium to make a transducer bracket for the boat.must be nuts, but I love running around in them. hey mark-hit the jackpot. was BS'n with a young guy who served in iraq, and brought up the subject of having a gen. from town and that his mother told me that he had offered to give a speech at the local school, and was declined. we both agreed-PATHETIC!PATHETIC!PATHETIC! another guy said "that's true-he told me that himself". they're good friends. found out he's a 4star gen. I see this guy every night,so i'll try to get a few more basics.

Tom, great work on that front end. I agree that the blacked out look is just a fad - it's just too bland for my tastes.

Carl - no surprises on the declined speech, unfortunately. We've got generations of people who have never really felt the true impact of a Nation at war. Sacrifice is a localized thing now - although the impact of a loss on any family is terrible - and most people have no knowledge about what Service to Nation is all about.

Dropped Duffy at the vet this AM. She is now in recovery and doing very well. I'll be able to pick her up in a few hours. She was spayed, microchipped and had her hips xrayed. Talk about a stimulus bill!!!

I could spend the whole day in a good yard.. Not too far back one of the kids asked me to come to her H.S. and talk to her class about Viet Nam. After much thinking it over I said yes. Her teacher turned her down on letting me talk to her class, She said it would be over the kid's head's. Too bad the far left has so much power over our kid's...:redxfall: Jim

That was a hard one on me, First I did not want to do it but I was thinking the kid's needed to hear it from someone who was there. The teacher was wrong on that one, the kid asked a week later to be moved to a new class and they moved her. On her way out the door she told the teacher what she did was not right.. Love that kid for standing up for what was right... Jim

I have the rear camera wire run from the back bumber and into the cab. I put the wire into a loom and secured it to the inside of the passengers frame rail. I think I was overkill on the ty raps.

I have an unemployment class tomorrow from 09:00 to 15:00 on coping with unemployment. My wife told me to keep my mouth shut. I was thinking the same thing. :D

On Friday I will run the microphone cable and install a switch for 12V to the hot lead for the camera cable. Another wire to tie into the hot wire for the back up lights and a couple of diodes and I will be ready for the HU instal.
