Morning Cap ... WTF? I think I'm with Ken ... you need a priest or some sort of voodoo witch doctor ... Damn thing must be possessed/jinxed.

I have to ask, how would replacing the windshield on your insurance affect the lemon law case? :notsure:

I carry a small $100 deductable for comprehensive coverage for exactly that reason. Windshield chips and cracks are the norm up here. Funny, when I had my moose accident and totalled a corolla in 2006, it was considered act of nature and covered under comprehensive with the smaller deductible; I carry $1000 deductible on collision coverage.

    Hi Ken. :)

How's the part time on your time gig going? ... or have you started yet?

    Holy Crap

    Really sorry Cap'n. :(

Don't know what insurance company you're with, but we've been with USAA for 18 years now, and they've always done right by us. Your Veteran status makes you eligible, to my knowledge. Might be worth looking into? :notsure:

My Chief lives in NJ and I believe he's still with USAA too; never heard him or anyone else I know (several people) complain about them.

Sincerely hope your lemon law case goes through in your favor. That string of events would make you want to blow the damn thing up; if it weren't for the $30K+ price tag. :frusty:

X2 on USAA Cap:thumbsup:...Hadliberty Mutual and after I had my accident(broadsided by a guy who ran the light) my rate went up $200 the first 6 months then $400 the next six:eek:...they said it was because the cars were getting older...yeah rite:smack: called USAA and they under cut liberty by 35% and in the 4 years I've had them, my rates have only gone up minimally:D...worth looking into.

    Evening all:
Don't feel lonely Capt. Not too much with vehicles, but it seems like every time I turn around there's something that needs to be straightened out.
The biggie I like to talk about is the major problem I had with something called Health Care Tax Credit (HCTC). When I contacted a Congressman, and supplied all the info. with the i's dotted and the t's crossed, it didn't take long to get it straightened out.
Funny, how when you have them nailed to the wall and a congressman gets involved, they (a division of the IRS) finally stopped the BS that had been going on for at least 6-9 mo.

 glad you got it straightened out Carl...why does a person have to go through all the BS just to get things right:confused:...Proves we're all guilty until we can prove our innocense:mad:

Sorry to hear about your insurance problems Charlie.

I fixed my old computer today. The PSU was going bad. I picked up a 430W Corsair PSU for $29 after mail in rebate. A refurbished OEM PSU was $99.50 and only 350W.

The Asus monitor came today so I can hook it up this weekend. I also caught a 120 gb Samsung SSD for $90 at Best Buy and will start to load the OS this weekend as well. Still unsure how to make the pointers on the SSD for other applications and data point to a 2tb hard drive that I have lying around.

I can take my time and pick up the hardware I need to build a computer on sale. The only thing I am unsure of is how to determine what memory I can use with a motherboard. The relationship between the MB and memory is still not clear in my mind. It is the memory speed that has me confused.

    Morning Gents...

Hi Tom, sounds like your moving along with your computer build. I'd like to help with the memory and speed, but I'm having issues with "MY Memory and speed"...actually I'm okay but I never really got into that part of computing. Good luck:thumbsup:

    Ken:
I ran across a decent article explaining memory to me, from the beginning to the present. Took about 5 min to read and understand. I also found that on the memory manufacture, G Skill, it lists the mother board that each memory module is compatible with. It is a little awkward in that you have to look at the memory module itself. Here is a link to the website.

Nice vid Charlie. I subscribed to the channel. ;)

We do have 3 Micro Computer Centers within driving distance from me and I do price checks with them on all parts. They do not carry the inventory that Newegg has and the prices seem to be a few bucks higher, not a lot just a few bucks. It is also worthwhile to check out Amazon for the reasons of no sales tax and free returns. MCC has been around for a long time in our area. I can remember buying from them back in the 80's over in Fairfax, VA. They are very dependable and reputable.
