Finally finished ordering all the parts for the computer build this evening. I should have it together next Saturday.

Kind of amazing that I found deals at Newegg, Amazon, and Micro Computer Center. I went over to Micro Computer Center today and picked up the CPU, graphics card, and the Blu ray drive. Total savings after paying taxes was more than $85 for the cost of the same item at Newegg. The Win7 Pro and the power supply were cheaper at Amazon. Got lucky and the motherboard dropped $15 today at Newegg. I knew I had a 2TB Seagate drive still NIB but I found a WD 500GB Caviar Blue drive NIB under my desk yesterday. Picked up a Samsung 120GB SSD earlier last week from Best Buy. It was less expensive from them. The only item I had to pay list price for was the memory. I would rather stick with G Skill memory, they seem to have the hot lick right now and they were less than crucial memory.

Good morning Ken. Spring is still to cold. I trimmed back 10 shrubs yesterday and it was windy and cold. I should have done the trimming 2 weeks ago when it was really cold and snowing. ;)

I have not started the computer build yet. I am waiting for parts to arrive and they should be here this week. I have the building process down so I hope it goes smoothly. I will set up a wooden table in the computer room and start the build on Friday if everything comes together as planned.

I am in the same boat as you with the trimming Tom, I have a small cut leaf maple that I need to trim up before it buds.
Good luck with the build. Hope it goes smooth:D. I go see the accountant today to get taxes done:eek:. I hate to think how much I owe.

    Charlie:
Tiger Direct seemed to be higher on all prices for the DIY type of guys. They had some decent prices on manufactured systems.

That seems to be true of all the internet stores. I found that Newegg and Micro Computer carried a wider variety of products and pretty comprehensive line up of items that a manufacture offers.

If there is a MCC close to you I can see why you use them. Prices are decent and on a lot of items you have to pick them up in the actual store. I found the Internet sales desk easy to find and not crowded at all for 12:00 noon on a Sunday. The store was pretty crowded at that time. Even after factoring in sales tax they were still lower than Newegg on 3 items.

I've driven them in snow a lot this winter, no problems. I needed something good all around. I agree with you they are good tires.

He must think a lot of ya'll to ask you to join him. That's a real honor and says a lot. Very cool.

    X2

I hope we got our withholdings right last year. I need to ask my wife if she's made the appointment yet. I'm spoiled when it comes to that, she's the money manager between the two of us. We probably wouldn't have much if not for her. The adjustment from active duty was a little rough and we've had to pay every yr since (3 times). I think we finally have it right and hope we're in the "happy meal" refund range. ;)

    Mornin' everyone.
