Why can't you pump your own fuel in NJ????????

 

So I am fooling around with my old PC trying to load a legal version of Win7 Pro and it is frustrating.

The PC Started out as a Dell with Vista Home premium that had a Dell upgrade to Win 7 home premium and I upgraded to Win 7 Pro. I have all the discs and the code for the Win 7 Pro upgrade. So far no luck and I have loaded the OS twice now.

I am currently loading an upload of Win 7 for free from Digital River that is taking forever.

I do not want to sink any money into the PC so we shall see what happens. I plan on loading Office 2007 Pro when I have the OS installed correctly.

I doubt that I will ever buy another Dell.

 

It is the law in NJ.

Done that twice now. Installed Vista plus updated since I needed SV Pack 1 to install Win7 Home Premium upgrade. In the process of using the win 7 upgrade I had to go out to the Microsoft website and I got a message to download IE 8 to proceed. Vista does not support IE 8 so that was a dead end. I installed Win 7 Pro and tried to use the legal Win 7 key and Microsoft would not take it since it was Win 7 Pro. I tried to use the upgrade key and Microsoft told me that was a key for an upgrade only not a fresh load.

Sucks at times but I have time to work on it.

 

I have to copy the Win 7 download to a disk now. This just does not end. LOL

 

There are only pump your own stations in Fla. Cant remember the last time i saw someone pumping gas in a car that was not his.

 

My first Social Security job was pumping gas at an ESSO station in my Junior year of High School. We were FULL SERVICE and did it all.

Pumped gas
Clean the windshield
Check oil
Check auto transmission fluid
Check air in tires
Check battery water levels
Check water in the radiator

All for $1.25 an hour.

 

I was only there till I finished High School. This was part time 13 hours a week.

x2. all though i know of a small station that the owner or someone working there will sometimes pump gas for the old people, i’m talking like 70+ year olds that can’t hardly walk but still drive., and this place this place is also a hardware store...

 

64 & 65 Standard Oil station 1.00 hr. I was high on the hog. gas was 24c a gal. & Salem's were 30c a pack.. worked 4 hrs a night, 8hrs Sat & 6 hrs Sun.. 34 beans a week. The 125 HD was 64 & the 54 was 65,,Mom wanted me off the HD..

Are you serious about pumping gas in New Jersey? Never heard of that, and like Mike and Jim, would love to know the rationale behing it.

Morning All...there is a "US GAS" station near us and it is run by middle easterners?? who pump the gas for you. Rest of the stations you pump your own...I don't mind and even have the wife pumping her own(some of the time) if she feels she doesn't have enough gas to get home...then guess who has to get gas for her and worry about running out before I get to the nearest station...

Another week starts. I have a Chiropractor appointment today so my morning is finished.

Do some light house cleaning then pick up the son from school. Going to a bowling event tonight. Getting tired just thinking about it. Time for an early morning nap.

 

Took a lot of years of not having the time or forgetting to get her gas before she got the hint that she needs to get her own gas. Now if I could only get her to change her own oil...
