Mornin' Cap. Drag strip with the vette sounds like exactly what you need. Have a blast man!

We're doing the single/0, but I think I'm gonna have to go additional withholding or something. Might look into seeing a CPA. I'm getting tired and frustrated trying to figure it out. Maybe I should quit working and figure out how to get on the dole? I kid ... my integrity could never let me do that.

    None...yet.
Don't waste your time or money on a CPA. Unless you make over 300k, your best strategy is to pay tax man to go away for another year.

Bump your withholding. Married @ single rate (box 3 on the W4), 0 allowances in box 5, math in box 6. If you owe $1,300, then $200 in that box if you are paid 1/month. $100 if you are paid 2/month. Since we are already in April, those numbers will only get you closer to zero.

I can appreciate that. And plan to just pay it. I just want to get our deductions right and thought I had it. The process you explain is basically what I did last year and the amount owed doubled this year from last. I'll calm down, make the changes again, and see if it comes out right.

Thanks for putting it in perspective.

I'm starting to believe we're getting Spring/Summer early here as well. Open water should show up on the lakes about any day now; ice is getting really thin. And I just got bit by a big ass mosquito in my garage, that's a sure sign.

If you are I wanted to wish you good luck before I head to the shop.
Going to put the Opel engine in tonight if all the parts showed up.
If this is wrong then I'll wish you good luck again at the corrected time.

At least I don't feel like I got hit with a 2x4 between the eyes.
After 5 months the outdoor christmas ornaments are put away.
Been ages since this has happened. Damage was not as bad as I thought.
Lost some bears and penguins but we have some for reserve.
Got some new plugs for the Sportster.
Will fire that up this weekend.

    evening boys!!!

It took me 4 or 5 years and extra withholding to get it right. stoopid IRS and state

    thanks for the tip

I put in my order for a replacement of last year. Really wasn't bad here.

:( yeah liked him too RIP Mickey

    x 3 or 4 or 5 for charlie

 stoopid dr's office billing dept.... Last three times I've gone to the doc and paid my co-pay, I've gotten a bill for the co-pay. I don't get past the counter until I've paid it  and when I call, just get voice mail and another bill

    Hiya Susan.

Well, this was 4 for us; maybe we will get it right now for next April. I don't pay close enough attention and was wrong, according to Kristi we paid $1200 last year; but we adjusted then. I think it has something to do with her getting a raise, and for that matter my pay went up as well. Any way we're gonna follow SolarDude's advice (someone told Kristi the same thing) and do the additional withholding as he suggested. Guess we'll see again next April. I'm done worrying about it for this year. ;)

Sorry for the doctor billing dept headaches. Between the base hospital and VA up here we haven't had to deal with off-base and co-pays yet. We'll see if that stays the same. :notsure: but sure hope so.

I have extra taken out of my retirement and as long as I have my house, I'm ok. Not looking forward to when I don't pay enough interest... gonna owe big time

No check, but I do keep my receipts. Might have to go back to checks if this stuff keeps up. Had to fill out a survey and I mentioned the issue. I'll see if there are any changes. One of the ladies I work with has teh same problem :notsure:
