It was good. Grands spent the night Sat & Sun. We took them to hike Thunderbird Falls Sunday afternoon. Finally got the lawnmower out, serviced it up, and cut the grass Monday.

And we finally got a little rain here and down on Kenai (where the big fire is) this morning with more rain forecasted next few days. :)

    Same here! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I'm 66, and hardly working. I figured you must be a farmer! :D

Trailer looks good Mike, you must have too much time on your hands!

Just got lucky! They are calling for thunderstorms today, and rain tomorrow. I got the wettest part of the lawn mowed right before it started raining.
The bottom of the yard hasn't even dried out yet, and more rain would only make it worse. Still have a lot of the front yard left to mow, but that doesn't stay wet.
Only 3 walleys and a stripper last night, early quit at 2:30 AM! :)

Neat falls MQQSE: @ 200' the pic doesn't do it justice.

Good thing you had the smiley on the end or else the F.U. would be presented.

    Back again!
    :) ^^^^^^^^^^^

Forgot to mention; I just read an article on how electric rates may DOUBLE!
Man oh man, they are really putting the screws to people.
Pretty soon: 16 tons and what do you get, another day older and deeper in debt.
After reading that, I'm sure glad I'm not all electric.

That article was on why Exelon made a nice gain today, so it should be pretty accurate.
It involves the auction payment to producers jumping from $59.37 to $120 per megawatt, per day!

    Welcome Shadetree.
    Grrrrrrrrrrr
With everything going up no way can i think of ever retiring.
I grew up with the notion you work hard and honest and save a little and then
you can relax and enjoy yourself after 62. Well it was 62, then 65, now 67.
Try to kill us off before we dig to deep into the fund. It happened to my F.I.L.

Mike, when I was a younger man some mechanics just short of overhauls, but mostly telecommunications, IT and electronics for before I retired. Now it is mostly honeydos, buildin'/repairin' PCs, electrical, and answering questions about lead-acid batteries. I grew up in Waco and spend 13 years in Germany.

    Morning all:
Just watching the news, it was about the most recent shooting. There is a guy on there talking about mental health. He made a statement, that at one time 1 in every 100 New Yorkers was in a mental institute, now they are either in prison or out on the street homeless, etc.
Of course, he wanted another FOUR BILLION to help combat mental health!
Maby a coincidence, but when the mental asylums were operating, we didn't seem to have all these mass shootings! :notsure:

Good to meet you Shadetree. I was born and raised in SE Texas and did some mechanical work along the way and wore "overhauls", as my dad called them. As a retired EE I've done (am doing) a LOT of electronic/electrical work for family, friends, and the gliding club I'm fixing to leave. Can't tell you how much time I've spent trying to explain to folks the difference between a wet cell and a Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) battery. A lot of glider pilots still think a Gell Cell and an Absorbed Glass Matt (AGM) battery are one and the same. How Dumb! And they think they can leave their NIMH battery packs on a charger 24/7 without seriously shortening their lifespan. How Dumb! I've written a couple of articles on the subject for club newsletters, but gather that nobody reads them.

Hmm, I must belong here in the 60+, because I just got a good deal on a used Baja special edition Taco, and the first thing I did was take off the garish graphics, and swap the noisy TRD exhaust for quieter stock...
Not, I gather, the 20-somethings idea of making the truck cooler :)
    Nice suspension, though.
