Wow!! I hope Charlie is OK!!!

Weird weather here in northeast PA. It's been in the 60s at night and 70s in the daytime. Certainly not normal October evenings.

    Evening all:
:( Seems like the Capt. just can't catch a break. My well wishes go out to him!

I had 1 set of studded tires on the Tacoma and was not impressed with them at all. I also like the designated winter tires W/no studs.

Wow, that's a heck of a road he's got in front of him. Thanks for the update.
Me too, not much difference other than trim and grille maybe?
:pccoffee: Yo. Getting the rain gutter replaced on the house today, finally. It got mauled pretty badly by ice dams last winter. The guy is going to roll a single 65-foot piece, so no seams. Should be interesting!

Morning wdb:wave:...65 feet:eek: that's a long length of gutter. Hope he has extra help with him. Ice dams can really play havoc with gutters as well as the roof. Let us know how he makes out.

Hi guys, I tried reading this, but 661 pages? So, I'll skip to the chase.

Wife and I bought our first Tacoma yesterday, a 2015 excab V6 4x4. I'm not 60 yet but really getting close. The Tacoma is replacing a 2004 Nissan Frontier, (base 4 cyl 2wd.). She bought that thing when I was away on a motorcycle trip... It had AC, a automatic, a radio, and roll down windows. Practically a stripper...

Needless to say, it sort of did the job, which was moving some of her sculptures, and welding supplies, and occasional mulch. (she is a artist don't ya know...) But I've never had a less capable, no fun, chore to drive, vehicle in my life. It was so horrible that it only had 24,000 miles on when we gave it to the dealer yesterday. lol

Well after 10 years, even she hates it... and admitted that she probably should have bought a Toyota in the first place....

It still won't get driven much but it actually gives me an alternative to my Mini Cooper S, and M3 in really bad weather. (actually the Mini is a snow beast with snow tires) She has a Kia Sportage AWD turbo, (again she bought it without me, and doesn't like living with it...lol Maybe she will learn, but after being married to her for almost 30 years, I doubt it.)

So anyway, I'm 58 and just bought a truck.

Get well soon Charlie. (don't know ya, but getting sick sucks.)

    [Hack out the blahblahblah]
Welcome! New guy fills the cooler. Under 60 fills it twice. :p
I have to admit that 'my' truck is actually 'our' truck. We both drive it and use it. Won't stop me from modding it though. Ginormous driving lights are up next. I've never owned anything large enough for Hella 4000's so I have to take the opportunity while I have it.
Hopefully you will get the chance to know him. I haven't been here long either but I already know he's a gem.

Plans are moving slowly as expected. We selected the vendor but have not told him that yet. He is supposed to be getting back to us with a more accurate estimate for his work. I had talked to my wife about engineered laminate planking for the floor, which we talked to both contractors about, and then she started to talk to me about ceramic tile for the floor after the contractors had left. :D
