Great day in the woods. People everywhere we went,Guess the cool weather got everyone out on opening day. 4 people with lots of change up dogs we only got 10 birds. The 15 to 20 MPH wind made them fast. I missed 10 but did get 3  ..

    Good Morning WBO. :)

That's pretty hefty winds for wingshooting. So by the stats ... you took close to 1/3 of the total. A day hunting over the dogs beats ... well, just anything. :D

When do you go again and how is Mom dog?

    Morning all:
 Sure, blame it on the wind!
Now if you only could have got them to fly into the wind to slow them down. ;)
Bottom line> Great day in the woods!

Sorry to hear about the pain Capt.

Fired up the coal stove yesterday. It's that time of the year.
Darn, oil dropped 50c a gal. since I got it delivered. That cost me an extra hundred bucks! :( At least the gas is coming down--for now!

    Morning people's

High winds. Chased my recycle bucket down the street.
    Rain and snow mix.
Around here it won't account for much but there could be a blizzard farther north.

:pccoffee: Morning everyone. Back from Baltimore. The bird was not impressed, but the humans had fun in spite of him.

    Morning all.
Hope ya get better Charlie. I have a question for you about the HD hack.
I was given a 1 yr lifelock along with wife. It's another brand but lifelock comes to mind.
But wife and I have sep accts. I haven't seen anything yet or calls either. Did you get the complimentary identity theft protection from HD?

    Mornin' one and all.

It's dark out, wet and cold. However, I know we will have shorter days, more wet and even more cold before winter is over. This is why I bring a little ray of sunshine where ever I go. It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it.

Welcome home Charlie! Rooting for you to get the pain thing managed. Glad to hear you had pizza and a jam session, both had to feel pretty sweet.

Charlie got it - a bird's birthday party. Chico the parrot turned 50, which is as great an excuse for a party as I've heard in quite a while. We stayed overnight at SIL/DIL's place. He's the one that fell off the roof. He's doing pretty well, back to work doing home inspections. He calls roofer friends of his to do the roofs he won't go up on anymore.

SIL actually bought a drone to do the high work for him! It sounds like it was made for this job, or something similar. It's a hovering machine with a high res camera attached. He flies it up to where he wants it, then basically tells it to "stay" and takes pictures using his cellphone. The machine uses GPS to hover in place; wind gusts etc. will move it but it just moves back. Apparently his had a problem with losing connection with the ground though, because the other day when he was using it in Baltimore city it just turned and took off out of sight! He searched and searched but did not find it. He's negotiating with the sellers now to see if he can get any relief. The whole reason he bought this model was because it supposedly had all kinds of safeguards against doing what it did.

 Well played Mike ... Made me smile. :)

Glad to read he's back to work.

Hi-tech computer stuff is absolutely wonderful until the computer gets confused/lost. Hope the company does right by him, that had to be a pretty expensive purchase.
... reminds me of talking with C17 pilots about the "all glass" flight deck instrumentation when the acft first came on line early 90s. I asked what they did when the computer locked up? They basically reboot it ... Guy I was talking to said the flight deck gets eerily quiet when they reboot it; all they hear is the engines still running and the associated hydraulics and wind noise without any of the electronic hum. So far I haven't read or heard of any not coming back on-line.

x2 on the doc getting your pain meds right Charlie.

 for the "rest of the story" Ken.

I hope there are some car audio buffs on here that can help me out. I have an old JL Audio amp that is starting to give it up. I am looking at a 2 channel JL Audio amp that is set at 4 ohms per channel. My question is will there be any huge problem driving a 3 ohm speaker? I do not play the music at a high sound level.
