Morning Carl, Deer all butchered and in the freezer yet:confused:. Have to go out and drop the spare to put air in it so I can get rid of the low pressure light on the dash. It's a PITA having to do it, but on the other hand, I would rather put air in it then find out it's as flat as the one I need to change:eek:...Have a good day.

    Morning all.

Only saw one moose yesterday; she spooked and ran deeper into the woods out of bounds for this hunt. Hopefully we see more today.

Sorry not more birds Jim. But at least you got out in the woods ... a lot. ;) might need a few extra naps for a couple days. :)

    Good morning one and all!

Good luck with the moose hunt. They sure are tasty. The difference between cleaning a moose and a deer is the difference between crawling into a cave and looking into a 3 lb coffee can.

It's at the guy that makes the sausage, hamburger, and slim jims for me: good stuff!

Yea, those 9 miles sure seem like 90 anymore. :D

I never had the opportunity to taste a lot of moose meat, but the little I had was very good. I never applied for a moose permit in Maine, and maby would have got a chance to hunt one. They were all over the place between Jackman and Greenville. I saw more moose in Maine than deer!

Replaced the pressure relief valve on the hot water heater this afternoon with no problems or issues.

Received pricing back from the kitchen designer. Cost is about $1750 more than I estimated, not too bad. The appliances came in $800 under budget so that offsets it a little bit.

We had also asked for three items priced separately and those came in at $4309. I have a feeling that the CFO will go for two of them but not the third. I really want a message center cabinet to reduce clutter on the countertops and as a place to charge tablets and phones. Below is a link to what I am referring to. Not the bookshelf part but the end with 2 cabinet doors.

Hey folks. We found our moose. Long day by the time we got it dressed out and hanging in the garage to age. Glad we started early and found her early.

    Safe Flight Paul. :)

Glad to read something is finally being done about that Escape. Sad nothing was done without the hassle of a lemon law case and all.

I'll attach a pic of the moose.

    Morning Ken.

That's exactly why I only post thumbnails on that stuff any more. Last time I posted moose steaks in Live, I got " " from Lisa for over a week IIRC. So I don't talk about moose hunting in the Garage, and I never post those kind of pics there. I try to respect her feelings, my wife feels that way about bears. Good thing for me it's not moose with her too ... then I might have a problem. ;)

Thanks for the compliment on the winch. It's a little uncoventional way to go about it ... I made the comment somewhere that my kin down in the holler in Sugar Grove, VA would be proud. It worked exactly as we planned it and makes the rig transferable versus dependent on a particular vehicle for power. For the one off short run purposes we'll use it, I think it'll work fine. I exchanged the $250 in copper cable and connectors for a deep cell rv/marine battery, and got $130 back in addition to the battery. Wow, that copper is expensive, I understand now why people are stealing it.

Thanks Carl. Sausage and old fashioned hot dogs is exactly the plan for this one, other than backstrap steaks of course. ;)
