Update on that accident. There was 1 fatality. In another pileup on I476 there were 2 fatalities. Roads are bad.

    Good morning guys.

All the bad weather up north could have been here. Raining sort of hard and 35°.

Time to get busy cleaning out the closet under the stairs today as we get the kitchen cleaned out for the demolition.

Doing what I feel I can do as we do a pretty serious makeover of the Powder Room, Kitchen, Landry Room, and Garage.

The old kitchen cabinets will be deployed to the laundry room and garage. I will do that work. I am also painting the kitchen, powder room and laundry room after the tile is installed. Going to redeploy a light fixture into the laundry room and add under counter lights in the laundry room. Also need to add an electrical circuit into the laundry room for the irrigation system control box.

Lynn drove home this morning from just north of Philadelphia. She called me to say that she had just managed to avoid an accident with some guy sliding down the road sideways in her lane from the other direction - she got off far enough that he kept on sliding by. At that point she started looking for a safe place to pull over - but she was at the Turnpike at that point and it had been treated. She made it home safe and sound...thank God.

For fans of the movie A Christmas Story, everyone remembers the Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun with a compass in the stock and that thing which tells time. In reality, while it did make the Red Ryder, Daisy didn't make a model with the compass and sundial. That was made up for the movie.

Starting in 1934, though, it did make a BB Gun with a compass and sundial in the stock. It was first offered in 1934 and was manufactured until 1942 under the name of the Buck Jones Special - a pump-action type Model 107.

Some of you will remember Buck Jones who was a Western film star popular in the 20s, 30s and 40s.

So, there truly was a Daisy BB Gun...with a compass in the stock and that thing which tells time. This one is now in my small collection.

Glad the wife was able to return safely. Wow that is a nice addition to your collection.

Growing older is a PITA. It took me an hour this morning to do a half hour job.

Life is good! Got a few chores out of the way. Made french toast and maple moose sausage with some pear slices breakfast for Kristi and I this morning. Trying to get a nap, sleepy but can't seem to sleep :notsure:

Mitch and Meghen coming over for dinner and game night; simple AK surf n turf, mooseburgers and beer battered halibut. :hungry: We'll have a facetime chat with the kids and grandkids when M&M are here. Not to shabby for a lazy Sunday. ;)

You figure out your floor stuff yet?
