THX Mike. I took a nap and feel a lot better. Took another muscle relaxer and see if I continue to feel better. Still have a little pain just not as much as before. ;)

I've been blowing out snow for the past two weeks every other day religiously; as in Catholic religious, as I have been praying my Hail Mary's for no more!

    I'm done.

    Cuba, here I come.

Hope you are feeling better, Tom!

Waiting for the next storm to hit. We could see a 5 to 8" mix of snow and sleet.

Hoping it holds off until late tonight or early morning - helped coordinate rescuing and placing 2 pups from a litter of 9. They were rescued from a shelter in Texas, fostered until the pups were 8 weeks old, were transported to Louisiana on Thursday, two pups went to SC yesterday - the mom and remainder are moving to MI soon. The two pups in SC - Hannah and Sunflower - are moving their way up the East Coast today by volunteer transport in legs of an hour or two at a time. They will end up here in northeast PA tonight where they will go to their forever home with friends of mine. I love working with rescue groups like this one - New Orleans Lab Rescue.

 6, Good luck weathering the storm; adding my hopes to it holding off for the pups' safe passage.

    :woot: for the rescue group!

Good luck tomorrow Paul! Have you given any thought to going down today and taking a room nearby? Might save a lot of hassle.

Viruses don't care what browser you use Paul. Get an antivirus subscription. Sorry to say they are a necessity these days. Even more so now with the Russian mafia, Chinese and North Korean governments, and other major nuisances littering up the 'net.

    Morning all
Thinking of you this am Paul. Good luck sir.

    Been light snowing all night.
    Everything is closing down.
My shop is closed also. Didn't see that coming.
So time to watch the snow come down and play with the blower again.
Doesn't seem that bad out but it's going to snow all day.

Paul, I too am thinking of you this morning. Hope your drive in went well and that the surgery and all the associated shtuff does too.

That little JD turns out to have been a wise investment; you're certainly getting some use out of it. Enjoy your unexpected day off "playing" in the snow. Hang in there buddy. ;)

Good morning one and all! It's the first normal day for me in about 2 weeks. I went to Ft. Worth on business two weeks ago, and a fellow passenger on the plane must have had the Black Death. It was kind of them to share.

I envy you guys with the snow. All that great fresh air exercise in a world without dog poop or litter. I woke up to a real frog strangler about 3 this morning. But living on a hill, the wet has all made it to the down hill neighbors by now.

I caught up on the past couple of week's reading last night. It looks like you all survived too. Hope Paul does well this morning.

It is my weekend. If it does not start raining again, it will be yard work, and if it does, I need to make a new front sight for a Ruger. I cut a 45 Colt down for a carry gun. I have been seeing more targets of opportunity while fishing in the spring the past year or two, and the 45ACP I usually carry is a little weak for bear and wolf.

    Anyway, have a good day!

    Hi Rob
There is no more room here.
So adding to the piles with the blower is the only way.
I need to add some more weight to the back. So next year I may modify the suitcase carrier and add another hundred pounds. The only thing I would definately change is to try and add a piece of plywood to the front windshield and get rid of the plastic and add a lexan windshield with a wiper setup. Can't see anything after a bit so having to bang on the plastic does not work so well.
Minor stuff really. Just need to remember it's a little tractor and not my plow truck.lol

I've gotten to where I dread flying for that very reason. Glad you're on the mend.

Got a pic of the 45 Colt?

Morning all! Thinking of Paul this morning, too!

Lots of freezing rain across PA today. We got rain all night and as the temps dropped it began to freeze - driveway was a sheet of ice when I walked the dogs at 5. Turned to sleet and now snowing. College is closed today so I just started a fire in the fireplace, Lynn is home from work, too.

The pup transport worked like a charm - I love helping with this rescue group headquartered out of New Orleans - NOLA Lab Rescue. The pups were from a litter of 9 along with the mother saved from a high kill shelter in Texas. The mother and 7 are headed to MI for foster and adoption. These two were transported from TX to LA and then to SC. Yesterday, 11 volunteers drove legs of an hour o two and transported the pups here to northeast PA where they were picked up by the family that adopted them. From 6AM until 8 last night the pups were handed from volunteer to volunteer to drive them north. Amazing.

I got this photo from the family that adopted the pups - friends of mine. Here are two sister who adopted two sisters. The smiles say it all.

Here's some .45 porn for you, Rob. My two: a 1944 Remington Rand M1911A1 and my concealed carry preference: a Kimber Ultra CDPII with a 3" barrel and Crimson Trace grips.
