you mention critters living in the walls.... was watching hoarders last night and  they CAUGHT 2,000 rats living in a house and the walls. they destroyed the walls to get the rats out. After the animal rescue took them, the guy caught another 350 rats that he gave away. They were his "buddies". I didn't see the first part of the episode, so don't know what the house looked like, but I imagine :puke:

I have rabbits, deer, and lots of squirrels and some possums. No big kitties, though. I'd be concerned what was getting in my doggie door, too. I do have one leading from the outside into the garage, but it's in a storm door, so can close the whole thing off with the regular door.

    afternoon Jim

    having problems? :p

It's nice out here this afternoon... not sure of the temp. Will head out when the :washing: is done.

    mmmmm deer sausage

Nope...the only big hairy critters I see are an occasional bear. We have a lot of those where I work but they tend to avoid us whenever they can. We do the same for them...especially when the mama has a cub. A lot of times we'll camp in the woods all week while we're working and we have to be careful not to leave food or garbage out where they can get to it.

Wait a minute...big hairy critters...there's some pot farmers around that probably qualify. Some of them could definitely use a trim. And a bath.

morning all: heading back to the woods again. have to find a route to get deer out; should I get lucky. this place is pretty thick, and could turn into a major project trying to drag one out.

Morning everybody. It finally quit raining/snowing...for a day or two anyway. I'm headed out to mark some future work areas for logging.
We'll see how well the Tacoma does with chains on.

So far a busy morning. Back home from working out then a stop at Starbucks for coffee, drop off food at the local food bank, then on to the post office to mail the TW Christmas Exchange gift and some Autoweek magazines to a siolder deployed overseas.

Next up is a shopping list and off to the food store for turkey day.

I live in Grass Valley...kinda sorta North of your niece. We're at about 2200 feet elevation...above the fog and below the snow line...most of the year anyway.

I work all over the West slope of the Sierra Nevadas and sometimes over on the coast so Grass Valley is kind of in the middle of everything for me. Retirement isn't too far off and I'll probably retire right where I'm living now.

 morning all. Gonna be another warm one here, then cool down for Turkey Day. Been this way the last couple of weeks - gorgeous weather for work days and cooler, not as nice on the weekends :( Oh, well, could be worse.

    Have a great day everybody.
