Lol at the suggestions guys! I think my boss's boss may be pulling for me too at this point. Small steps.

I used to work at a "certain specialty steel company in Reading PA" that shall go unnamed becuase of what I'm about to reveal. December was essentially a lost month. Work slowed to a crawl, people took llllooooonnnngggggg lunches, and so on. There was a certain cabinet in a certain location in the lab where I worked that was stocked with hooch the entire month. Guys would loiter in there drinking *ahem* soda for hours on end. Coming from a straitlaced high tech outfit as I had, this culture shift was a bit of a shock. For about 2 seconds. :)

    OK! Evening all
Keep after those critters Mike, it's a war!
I always had some carpenter bees flying around the back garage, this year there were MANY MANY more! My neighbor gave me a carpenter bee trap and I figured I better put it up-----it works!

I made a carpenter bee trap... think I caught about a dozen of those boogers. I hate killing them, but they're chewing up my arbor

    I'm impressed!:woot:
I've taken a few trees down, I'd leave the trunk 6-7' tall, strap a come-along to the base of next tree and keep it tensioned while you cut the roots/remove dirt.
It works well!;):sawzall: Sawzalls are helpfull as well...

I'm not. Saw it and thought you guys might enjoy seeing a classic.

    :pout: :washing: here too

Gave a neighbor all the wood. Gonna tie a tow strap to them when it's time to cut the last roots, then pull them out. Then put them on the street with a sign "free bonfire" starter. One of the other trees I took down, left the trunk a few feet tall, and when all the roots were cut, couldn't lift it out of the hole :anonymous: so I pushed the trunk one way, put dirt under it, pushed it back, put more dirt, then back again until the hole was full and the stump was on top :D That tree wasn't nearly as big.
