talked with my son and he said Win 10 is different, but not bad. Not like win 8. He just ordered it. He said it would take some getting used to, just like other new programs

    Hi Sue
That's what I'm afraid of, probably take me a year to figure it out.
I finally have things a certain way that I'm comfortable with, and hate to change anything.

I hate WIN 8 - it just isn't a user intuitive application. I end up using just the very basics of it - and struggle to find common thinks like when I want to find MS Word. "Where the hell did it go???!!!"

Prodigal Son Update: New TRD-Pro showed up on a truck at the house in Kansas. I am leaving Malaysia heading home next Wednesday.... on Malaysia airlines... they declared bankruptcy this morning. Darn. Well, I have a pretty good travel agent, taken care of me all these years. Betting he still has a plan. :) Can't wait to call Uncle Sam home again.

    Evening all:

Heck, half of the young ones around here don't even have jobs---and don't seem to want one!
Well, maybe-----$30.00 an hr., not too hard, and 9-5 W/weekends off, even then some of them would end up losing that job!

No Sue, not looking at baby stuff-------fishing and hunting stuff. Couple years ago I looked at a lure, (I think I posted about that), when I looked at the price which I think was $32, I put it back!

    Morning everyone!

Sue, I think companies jack up prices because they know grandparents will pay anything to spoil their grandkids! I know that because we are paying $10k for a 17 foot slide for our new pool just for the grandkids.

Part of the problem that I see with lots of young men and women coming to the college is that their parents do everything for them. They have no idea of what it takes to support themselves or to work hard. It's no longer about having Helicopter Parents - they've upgrade to Helicopter Gunship Parents.

Dunno why y'all are going on about what young people are going to do. 40% of baby boomers have NO retirement savings. We here all know how far SS goes, so we're looking at almost half of our own generation living under the same bridge with the kids. Or maybe we'll go back to our hippie roots and revive the commune movement...

As far as kids and work ethic goes: I know quite a few hard working youngsters. Of all ages. ;)

Exactly Dave, but a lot of them are going to hit the lottery big!
I don't know if you read my post about my buddy going to a retirement seminar. The first question to them was: how many here have their home paid for, he was the only one that put his hand up out of about 50 people. Mind you, these were all older people that were looking into retiring. :notsure:

I hope they don't forget us little people when they hit the big time! o_O

Carl, I went back a few pages but didn't see that post, sorry. I see the same thing among my peers though; talking about retiring, still paying a mortgage. 10 years ago some of them were living large; nice new car, new furniture, trips to exotic locales. I thought to myself "how can they afford that stuff - do they really make that much more money than me?!?" Now that the housing bubble has burst they're not making those kinds of purchases anymore. And they still have mortgage payments.
