Thanks Mike, that's what I was wondering on my 4 cyl with regards to the check valve. And I'm pretty sure we're saying the same thing on oil filter tightness ... sometimes the typed words don't exactly match the thought. Thank you.

    Enjoy the fishing!

The Jeep looks fantastic, Mike!!! My Tacoma is a 2004 and still has some shine to her, too. And, only 34000 miles on the clock. Your picture also reminds me it is time to pull my '96 Z3 out and give her some TLC, too.

Home in the USA! After living overseas for the last 10+ years, we are finally home to stay in Kansas. My son picked us up in my new TRDPRO Inferno. We could see it from the jet as we landed! Man have things changed! I love the Taco! Locked up on a dirt road you can darn near get a four wheel drift going. I wanted the six speed, but settled for the auto. Frankly, after driving the Defender in city traffic for the last 8 years, it is a pleasant change.

While overseas, I was often asked, are you proud to be an American? The first time, I had to think about it. No, I said, I am LUCKY to be an American, and PROUD of the USA!

Every morning for years, I had to listen to the call to prayer. Today, I listened to church bells. :) Home, sweet, sweet HOME!

    Great thread, and great site.

    X2 Welcome home!

Experienced the feeling a few times, but it's been a while. Thanks for the reminder of how fortunate we truly are.

    Morning all:
    Welcome back Larry.
Too bad there are people living here that don't realize how fortunate they are, and how good they have it compared to a lot of other countries.
Of course, some of them would fit right in in rogue countries and I could see some of them being Somali pirates!

    Morning.
Hi new people. Ive always said ALL our young should have to spend age 19 & 20 in some 3rd world shit hole where people live in a cardboard box & crap in the gutter in the street out front .Gives you a Whole new outlook on the USA.
The Rolling Stones put on a great show last night. Two Hrs.+ of non stop wide open.. I was impressed for a bunch of 70 Y.O.s. Richards killed it, First one on stage playing Honky Tonk Woman & last one to leave..I was in the nose bleed seats But they were only 25 bucks & a hell of a deal. The T shirts were more then the cheap seats.I did not get a T shirt.
Its :oldglory:Day So fly em if you got em..

    Thanks ken.
Sorry, no house calls unless your around Thompson Raceway next week.
I found if I plan a day to do it and just get started I'm fine.

    Fishing was good.
I did change it up and go to spots I haven't in years and tried new lures etc.
So not so good after but good change of pace. Lots of hits. Just no hook sets.
    Totally fun....

We need to get together Ken. I have everything we need and then some.

Going to dinner/date with the missus right now. Need to dig up a few pics of my SIL's Jeep I detailed 2 years ago. Very sweet gold edition Jeep.

Oh! Tom meant him and I meet up to detail my TACOMA:thumbsup:. I need to get it to the car wash first to get the red clay mud off. Then I can give it a good wax and interior clean, but not for the next few days, rain is called for :(. Thanks for the invitation to help with the detail, but if we meet up, no work but lunch and a relaxing shoot the breeze session. Enjoy your vacation Tom.
