Hi Bob, being a mechanic of industrial equipment(fork lifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, skid steers, telehandlers, etc.) I feel the mechanics pain...it seems that when one breaks down they all seem to get jealous and breakdown too...2 1/2 years to go till retirement...Ken

evening all: machinery mutiny-good term, been through that, but not on that large a scale.

oh-the news! it ain't going to get better ! oh joy; apple juice has arsenic in it. tylenol will damage your liver  wait till campaigns really kick in:puke:

not doing too good hunting. saw 3 tails today. thats a start! guess getting one on the first day is a thing of the past for me. my old hunting spot went from excellent to pathetic, can't seem to find another good spot.

    WORK! that's a 4 letter word!!!

the fed-X truck crash on PA. I-80 was just down the road from where I was hunting, on opposite side. wondered why traffic was backed up on that side when I left to come home. think they said the driver was killed.

Good morning. You folks are right...work is a 4 letter word. But, so is food, and bills, and a few others I can't remember right now. :)

I've been trying to retire for three years now and a couple of times I've almost made it. But then the phone rings, and, like a dummy, I answer it. Then I throw everything in the pickup and head for the woods. Again.

A lot of people figure that because I've been doing this awhile, have gray hair and wrinkles, and usually manage to get some wood on the ground by the end of the day, that I must know what I'm doing. Or, as one of the guys I work with said "sometimes a good reputation can be a bad thing".

Don't get me wrong, I like what I do. But after forty five years of doing it it's time to step the pace down. Just a little. Or a lot...if I can get away with it.

But, in the mean time...one more cup of coffee and I'm headed up the hill. We're gonna sneak up on the trees in the dark. :)

You folks have a good day.

Know how you feel. Part of my job is to fight test fires. I told my boss that when I turn 60 (turned 60 two weeks ago) no more firefighting. Guss what I will be doing today? Fighting fires!!!

Morning everyone!! Still on the work train here...but looking forward to retiring in, oh, about 7 years or so.

I saw the news report about the crash on I80 with the FedEx truck - went down a pretty deep embankment. Sad.

Hope everyone has a great day! Only 24 nights until Christmas.
