    Afternoon all:
Here ya go Rob, not the smallest but manageable, 31" tip to tip when just strung, and 260# draw weight.
This is an Excalibur Matrix 380, and I opted not to get the 405 because it is slightly larger. Supposedly enough power to put down a cape buffalo or a grizzley, which certainly isn't needed for deer size game.

    OH, not a toy Sue, it's a TOOL! :D

Saweet! Only thing could make that pic better is the crossbow sitting in a critter's rack. :fingerscrossed:

Happy hunting Carl, thanks for sharing the pic.

    Hi Sue:
    I have them!!!
Old recurve, 2 Jennings S-handles, 1 Jennings Arrowstar hunter, all top line hunting bows at one time. Now you almost can't give them away. :(
All the old school bow hunters said the same when they came out with the compounds, and everyone switched to them. Now they are saying the same about the crossbows, as everyone is switching to them!
IT'S A MONEY RACKET, believe me, but some would call it progress!
I had mentioned this before. The first day of buck season in Pa. sounded like a war, shooting all over and buck only. Now you can shoot both buck and doe, and there's almost no shooting.
Archery (buck or doe-w/a doe lic.) and inline muzzleloader (doe only) precede the rifle season, and there's not much left by the time it comes around to the rifle season.
2+2=4, and I figured it was time to change my hunting tactics.

I think I mentioned it before, but I'm getting photovoltaic panels put up on my roof. Contractor tells my wife that they have to put a slab down in front of my meter, wife doesn't give it a second thought & okays it. We come home to find a 4'x4'x8" high slab, sticking out halfway into my yard (small yard, Hawaii, you know) Contractor failed to notice that there's a boat in the back yard that is now impossible to get out. They claim the slab is necessary by code, which an engineer friend at the power company never heard of. In addition to the ugly slab, they had to rip out part of the sidewalk in front of my house (city property) to upgrade wiring & put in a new meter. When they re-poured the sidewalk, the edges are not even straight or finished.

I'm on my way to meet the contractor, and will just tell him that all further communication regarding this matter will be through my attorney. My wife is so pissed off that she refuses to talk to them.
    end of rant.

Gotta love the contractor quality work.... Did not like what the upgraded phone lines did to my yard/garden   Good luck getting your yard fixed

Thanks folks. If this is not resolved to our satisfaction, said contractor will be losing a lot of business. Sad, because the contractor is supposed to be very reputable, and has gotten good reviews. Hoping it's just some bad employees, and the boss will make things right.

Sorry cheech! Sounds like it will be a bear to fix. I hope the boss does right by you.

My dad had a really bad contractor experience like that once. Guy showed up unannounced to pour a slab my dad had prepped. He had been told in no uncertain terms *not* to pour unless pop was there, but he did anyway. Screwed it up of course.

Well, I'm okay with what the contractor's manager has promised. He said that the slab will be removed once the power company approves the meter install. Still sounds like a bunch of bs to me. Ran into a friend that's the chief building inspector fo the city, and he said that it's typical of these companies to spew all kinds of bs. He will be sending one of his inspectors to check the shitty sidewalk replacement, and have them re-do it. I told him that the sidewalk issue was minor, and I could live with it, but he wants to make sure I don't have problems in the future, and he also wants to stick it to the contractor for the anguish this has caused me.

If any of you know how government shit works around here, you know that you don't mess with the City building dept. BTW, my friend will be expediting my final clearance. Instead of a couple of weeks or more, it will be a day or so. Now I just have to wait for the power co. to get my system going. And of course I will be asking my friend there to expedite that...

 Sounds like you're getting it resolved about as good as possible within the given constraints. A network of friends sure can be a great asset. :)
