Plugs and air filter sitting on the counter waiting for another day. Usually takes me longer to do stuff. Don't like starting unless I know I can finish. What do you use to lube doors?

 

I use white lithium grease on hinges/slides/latches/locks ... Silicone the rubber door seals.

Avon SKIN-SO-SOFT Bug Guard PLUS IR3535® Insect Repellent Moisturizing Lotion - SPF 30 Gentle Breeze, 4 oz

this stuff like lotion on all exposed areas during Summer skeeter season; used it for over 10 yrs now. It works and doesn't have the deet chemical odor of a lot of the repellants.

 

thanks I have some bands which use citronella and they seemed to work. But don't wear them in the house. Half the ones I've killed have had blood in them... when the dogs go out, they get covered in the stupid things.

 

I literally use it like regular lotion, put it on after coming out of the shower in Summer so I can't forget; else I wouldn't think of it until it was too late and I was already getting bit.

 

I don't like using white spray lube or anything white. Some of them dry and looks like crap and don't penetrate. Then it's tuff to clean. Some are super anal about that. I use stuff like safety clean rust penetrant. I also use ff If the hinges free and clear. WD40 sucks. Any "dry" lube sucks. Up here you need penetration in order to dissolve the rust inside the pivots.

I commend you on your Tacoma maintenance. Need to make a vid showing you doing it to bring some of the so called experts on here down a few notches. The shit is gets deep from time to time.
