 Evening, hope all are well.

Smart move, you gotta know your limitations ... it's often worth the money to save yourself the frustration and guess work. It's easy to get sucked down the rabbit hole buying stuff that doesn't fix the problem when the cause isn't obvious. ;)

Here's the pics Rob. Camera picture doesn't do the TV picture justice but it's a great picture. The new piece of furniture for under it comes in today. The TV is my Christmas, birthday, Anniversary, Chanukah, Kwanza, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday gift for the next 3 years:rofl:. P1020239.jpg P1020237.jpg

Sorta of ... going to be quiet here with the grandkids in Phoenix now. Work requirements don't allow us to go there, or them here. We'll likely visit them again in Feb or Mar. So my Christmas spirit lacks a little lustre this year. Is what it is. ;)

Hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas. :)

Man Rob, that sucks a big one not have the grand kids for Christmas. Hope when you go to see them next year you can have your Christmas then.
Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year.

    Afternoon all:
Welcome Holeshot! Looks like the cooler will get filled again. :D

    on the TV Ken.

Feeling for you Rob, hopefully next year things will work out better.

This is not good! Tomorrow is the last day of rifle season. Last 2 days hunted a different part of the same area and didn't see a tail. Looks like tomorrow it's back up on Stone Mountain.
Beyond doubt, this has been the warmest 2 weeks of buck season that I have ever experienced.

Although I don't hunt much anymore our split deer season came back in today through Feb. 10th. Should be able to bag a couple after the holidays.

    Good luck!
I still have a last resort, a late Flintlock and archery season that starts the day after Christmas. Only problem is, if I had to rely on the flintlock for food--I'd starve!

We have it good with primitive weapons. I use a T/C Omega in line .50 cal with sabot 250 slugs 2-50 gr 777 pellets 209 primer and a 3x9x40 scope.

Other choices include rifles in any configuration other than full auto. Shotguns with buckshot or slugs all archery equipment and spears for the cave men types.

Bag limit 1 buck and 1 doe Per day up to 3 bucks. A doe per day for the entire season starting with archery Oct. 22, firearms the Sat before Thanksgiving and all ending Feb 10th. Actually primitive weapons get a 5 day head start for firearms season.
