Great looking family and well done on you for getting them out chasing phez! And good looking Epagneul Breton's too. Heard Kansas finally rebounded this year. I wasn't able to make my annual trip to North Central SD this year with a handful of other retired military guys but my friends that did go said the count was way down from the early hail storms. Did make 3 one week trips hunting ruff grouse on the North Shore of Lake Superior with a new pup though. I have a friend in Silver Bay, Mn. that hunts 3 FB also, great dogs.

We hunted SW KS on opening day last two years and had great luck. The quail are also back in OK this year. But dove were down over last year. Annual goal is to get dove, duck, quail, pheasant and turkey. Are you also retired military.

In SD we just do pheasant except for the Cdr. who is a resident, he lives in Spearfish so gets to hunt waterfowl every year. Waterfowl is a lottery system there and I got drawn finally, but couldn't make it this year. Because of the mild weather the ducks really hung up in Canada until late this year anyhow.

Yes retired Navy, there are quite a few retired military on here. There are 2 retired AF in the 50's thread, I have 2.5 years to go until 60 but your picture of family, dogs and phez pics were hard for me to resist :anonymous:.

The 4 core of us that hunt SD for 2 weeks are Navy and another group of 4 Air Force that cycle through, and even a Coast Guard.

Morning everyone and Happy New Year!! Long time no talk!!

I hope you are feeling better, Mike!!

Not much has changed here - although Lynn retired in September. She will start doing some consulting but is planning on expanding her flower growing business.

Our "little" pup is no longer little. She's 8 months old now.

And, here is a family shot from our early Christmas with our son and his family.

Congratulations to Lynn on her retirement Mark, best of luck to her in her endeavors. Glad you and the family had a good Christmas. Always nice to have the Grand kids around. They sure can make a Holiday Happy. Hope you all have a great New Year.
