Thanks, guys! The artist really does nice work. Mike - it really was not painful at all. The upper arm is one of the least sensitive areas - felt like getting scratched with a pin or a mild electrical shock when he was working.

Tom - yes I was. I was in Germany 1994-97 assigned first to 3d Infantry Division as the G2 and then took over as battalion commander of the 103rd MI Battalion. We reflagged to 1st Infantry Division in '96 and my Bn was redesignated as the 101st MI BN. My screen name was my fixed radio call sign - Devious Six.

And thank you for yours as well!! It was my honor to serve!! My BN was supported by the 121st in Germany - and in Bosnia when we deployed parts of the Division there in '96.

First time here. Turned 65 in January. And yes, I'm an old fart with a kid's truck. 2nd Tacoma and love it. Reading posts about 2016 mpg and can't see how some get 14-15 mpg. Recent trip with wife to Oregon coast and back to the valley resulted in 26.2 going over and 25.7 coming home. SR5 4x4 DCLB.

I agree and am open to all suggestions.

Maybe Sue can work a "J" into the acronym for Juliet.

Gosh .... lots of new folks here .... welcome to all !

Why isn't everyone out getting the lawn tractors/mowers/weedeaters/etc. ready for the upcoming season (like I'm doing). Headed outside in a few minutes to level the deck on the tractor and wreak havoc on the weeds out back.

Have a Happy Easter and good luck on the EGG HUNT !!

    Morning all
    Hey Mike.
The reason is it snowed 6" the past week. Was plowing and sanding. Ice storm yesterday.
I think this is the last of it.
Boat waiting. All my new shit sitting on deck. Had a fleeting urge for a fishing kayak but sunk that in a hurry. Lol :smack:
Next week maybe the time to swap out the blower.
    Enjoy the weekend all.
    Welcome tacosmine

Thanks for the warm welcome. Can't sit too much right now, just had spine surgery 2 weeks ago. Going stir crazy, able to drive now that I'm off the goofball drugs. Cramping my style, have a brand new set of Rokblokz to mount and a bed mat to keep my lawnmower gas can from slamming into the bed front when I stop to put in.

I see that 1st Division patch. Been there twice, once in '70 with 1st Cav, back in '71 with 1st Aviation Bde. Flight engineer on Chinooks.

Dying to get my grass mowed, but constant rain here doesn't want me to.

I just use a 2x4 across the back in the slots provided. Just enough room for a 5 gal can.

Welcome Tacosmine. I agree with Tacoma Mike on the restraint for the gas can. I have a 2x6 with shims to fit the slots that level things in the composite bed to support 4x8 loads. When I need to fill my 5 gallon gas can I just put it in a plastic basket (Walmart) that doesn't slide around on my official TACOMA bed mat or tip over. Has worked well so far. Just don't stop on a dime and leave 9-cents change !!

Read my post on the 23'rd, I've really been at it just like you are! 2 boats, 3 vehicles, 5 trailers, 3 weed eaters/brush cutters, 3 chainsaws, 2 hedge trimmers, a push mower, a garden tractor, a Zero turn, and a property that's always trying to reclaim itself------:annoyed:!
SOMETHING ALWAYS SEEMS TO NEED SOME TYPE OF MAINTENANCE DONE TO IT!!!

Also, a happy Easter to all!

    Trying not to!
OK; was just crawling under the 99 Chevy truck looking for grease fittings on the drive shaft, (forgot it doesn't have any)! Just happened to give a look at the springs and noticed a broken spring on the DS, then looked at the PS, and there's another broken spring. :(:annoyed:
That truck has 36,038 mi. on it, and bought it in 2000 with 28,800 mi. Used it very sparingly to tow the 17' boat and don't use it too often for anything else. Now I'm wondering if they were broken when I bought it, and that I didn't notice it until now. :notsure:
So now I need to replace the brake master cyl. on the 66 Chevy, and have the springs fixed on the 99 truck.
Did I just say: something always seems to need some type of maintenance! :goingcrazy:
