    Welcome newly old folks, :)
Phone line is better this AM, ATT says its their problem still, going on since Jan. GRRRRR!!!
Fence up around the garden yesterday, one layer at least, has to be 7' or over to keep deer out.
Mowing, not yet, put the snow thrower away yesterday, hope we don't get more snow, hardly any this year. Tricky putting a fence up and missing late snows that would take it out.
Four more days of work. Yippee!
Planning a camping/backpacking trip to Montana again this year. This time, making arrangements to meet a few fellow stovies from some Coleman and stove forums I belong to. Headed to MN to see relatives is the main reason for the trip just after Labor Day. Too bad the truck does not get the gas mileage my Civic got.
I also got 25 mpg a couple weeks ago in the truck. Average is 22.5 mpg so far. I travel to Nevada from N CA and much depends on if it is windy or not, usually windy along 395/580.

Tell me, Duane, "What mods can you possibly do to a Coleman stove? What can you possibly talk about?"

I have one in my camping equipment that is at least 50 years old, and another that's at least 40. I turn them on, cook the food, turn them off.

    ;)

We'll talk about stoves, maybe lanterns. The guys I'll stop by and visit are into camping and backpacking like me. We'll shoot the breeze about such and such rare stove or lantern, show and tell. Old Coleman stoves and lanterns are very good quality. Some of my lanterns are from the 20's and 30's, one model 9C stove from the 20's. All run as designed. Just like discussing a vintage muscle car. At Gatherings, its mostly about Coleman lanterns. I only have 20 or so lanterns, 150 stoves, many worth hundreds of dollars. Only been into collecting 6 years and enjoying it.

    Evening all:
Interesting hobby Duane, it's amazing what people collect.
When you're out hiking and camping just keep looking down, there are indian relics in many areas, especially near water. Neat artifacts to find!

:woot:Welcome to the new guys, cooler is well stocked--- for now!

    Be honest now.
You guys sit around and talk about lanterns and stoves and try to figure how to take an old Colman stove and turn it into a flame thrower. Or take a lantern and light a whole house...

I won another 100 year old stove off the bay today. I have three of them now that have a date code showing they are over 100 years old, so it is easy to check. Nice. No rent, mortgage, car payment or desire to spend thousands on the truck, adding skid plates for every conceivable obstacle.

The stoves and lanterns... very cool!

You'll need more than that, my friend.

I misunderstood. I thought that you were adding skid plates. My bad.

Nothing beyond trying to get sliders (will help prevent dents when getting firewood too), gas tank skid plate, that tank is a target if you ask me. Maybe a front bumper, but they have a long wait time. Was not sure what you meant, if I had to have everything or what do stoves have to do with TW. :)
