 evening Ken... that's my gripe too.... just call and let me know you will be late!!!

Sorry Carl.... better luck next time

I'm pooped..... spent two hours outside digging up tree roots.... got the last of the ones for that tree out and started filling the holes in.... have to fix the sprinklers before completely filling it in.... :woot:

    Morning all:
    Only getting worse! :annoyed:
We went out for walleyes last night and finally got the skunk we were working on, they were there but not hitting! :annoyed:

Just saw something interesting as Trump was speaking in ND.
He mentioned how many bald eagles are being killed by wind turbines on wind farms, had to look that up, it's true! :(
Just seems strange that there are big penalties if someone kills one, but building something that is extremely hazardous to them and kills them is allowed. :notsure:
Not only are Eagles being killed, but it looks like millions of other birds and bats are also being killed by them. :(:(

It is a lot of fun Susan. The people are really nice and I am volunteering in my community.

Ken: Usually I have 4 to 6 stops for the MOW. This past Tuesday there were 9 stops. Took an extra 1/2 hour but not a big deal.

In the process of constructing a church garden. I need to move pics off my phone and into Photobucket so I can post them for you gals and guys.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend. Visit a Memorial day ceremony in your town this Monday.

Fence post are installed and the holes are dug for the raised bed support posts.

Started to cut this pile of Western Red Cedar today to the lengths needed to build the raised beds.

    Morning all:
:annoyed: Just reluctantly made the switch to windows 10! :annoyed::annoyed:
So far, "MOST" is the same and it looks pretty familiar, I lost my homepage, and the favorites bar, and just had to re log into TW! Well at least I got back onto here, but absolutely need to get the favorites bar back!
I had win.7 ULTIMATE, and I think I now have win. 10 PRO; I don't know what the difference is between win.10, and win.10 PRO, but I think that's the version they said I would be upgrading to.
So if you don't hear from me for awhile, I pushed the wrong button and don't know how to get back into the puter!

:woot::yay:Just found the favorites bar, and the favorites list, this may be a whole lot easier than I had anticipated.
If I can do it, ANYONE CAN DO IT!
:bananadance::woot: Just figured out how to bring up the home page, should be good to go now, everything I had before is available, little different but not hard to find. :pccoffee: FOR NOW!!!!!
HE,HE,HE, couldn't figure out how to shut the darn contraption off :p, got that figured that out too! o_O

I brought my late mom's computer to my place. She was on high speed dial up, ether net thing too. I've tried to get it to work on my old, slow dial up, won't work here at my place. My old computer, I can change settings in "my computer", but not the same on my moms. Bout ready to toss them both.
Got back from two days of camping, 39F this AM, no wonder no one else was out. 65F during the day, camped about 5 miles from home, so ran home the other day when camp was set up and traded the truck for my dirt bike so I'd have something to do Friday, then mid afternoon Friday, switched back, had no desire to ride out this AM and get the truck to haul gear back home. Garden is looking good except the beans and squash, corn is mostly good, sunflowers looking great. Due to cool weather, results not the best this year, but at least I'll have a garden, just not many beans. Replanted the squash and pumpkins the other day when I came back for the dirt bike.
While taking a walk the first day of camping, caught up to a bobcat, even hollered and made some noise, he was not hearing me, finally, when I got within 150' of him, he spotted me and took off like a rocket. :) I walked up the road a little bit further and saw a dead Coyote along side the road. Nose was still wet and soft, but he'd been dead a while. Tail gone, wound above the hind quarters partially eaten and the belly opened up. Lion kill? He was in a sorta natural position, so throws some doubt on the lion kill.

The posts are for the 5"4" high fence. The raised beds will be 8" high.

    Morning all
Planted my tomato plants and a blueberry yesterday. Cukes go in today if poss. Need to build another fence around the cuke bed. I'll use the wood I have from the end cab I got for the tool box. Happy Father's Day to me. :). Of course that gives me more painting I have to do now.
We didn't grow from seeds this year. Don't know if it will make a difference. We had a good amount last year. Really fun just walking by and grabbing food and eating it..
Lots of work on that raised bed project Tom. But is there a special reason for exactly a 5' 4" fence ???
Or is that just the way the measurements came out ? My raised beds are simple. The frame protectors from the recalls fit my needs perfectly. 5 min of maintenance and I'm good to go.. Lol
So now it's getting the rest of the weeding and planting done for the outside with mulching and what not

It's a losing battle. The jobs I did years ago seemed minor compared to today. Especially when you forget that one tool on the box and its WAY OVER THERE. So you grunt and grown to get up and go get it...lol

My computer started to do the update to Windows 10 the other day WITHOUT my prompting it to! Took a look at the warning "Do not turn your computer off", and said "Wanna Bet?"
Shut the whole thing down, waited a few minutes and restarted it with no problems. Every time that annoying W 10 prompt comes up, I cancel it!
    Curse you, Microsquash!

As for the planting/gardening thing...I have a black thumb.
My theory is "I'll stick it in the ground. If it grows, good, if not, oh well."
My only thing that might be successful is a peach tree that a friend stuck in the ground in a really inconvenient place right on the corner of my front deck a couple of years ago. I've had to prune it back several times, but now the thing is Full of little baby peaches. It will be interesting to see if any of them survive to become full size. Too bad I don't really like peaches all that much...

    Good morning.
I've thought of that, the neighborhood has matured, no more kids around that I know of. I may take it back to the local guy who worked on it a little over a month ago, he uninstalled Windows 10, said it would not work with slow dialup.
Tore into more of my 15+? year old deck yesterday, looking like a can of worms now. A couple rotted joists, the 4X6's under those look good, but I'll replace them too I think, unless when I cut them to shorten they still look good. Off to cut some firewood this AM, I have half a cord worth of tags left to use, going for a load of oak today, tomorrow some more Douglas fir. Out west here we only have oak, madrone, if you can find someone in the valley removing an orchard, can get almond or whatever. No other hardwoods here. Doug fir is high on the list for btu's. Lodgepole pine is good, I have a little of that still. Started my wood splitter yesterday, required I remove the spark plug and prime it with gas, still a little cranky, but fired up after a few more pulls and working the choke a little. I'll see if I can split some wood this weekend too.

    Morning all:
Skrain; believe me I did not want to switch to Windows 10 either, now that I did it I'm not sorry that I did----YET!
One thing I did do was to use customize settings on the initial setup instead of the express settings. I turned everything off except "use smart screen online services to help protect against malicious content and downloads", a pretty knowledgeable computer guy on another forum suggested to do that.
It didn't take long, maybe 1 hr., to feel totally comfortable with windows 10, which really surprised me. Other than a few things having a different look, I find it to be not that much different than Windows 7 and pretty darn easy to use.
Like I stated earlier, I think I have Windows 10 PRO and don't know if that has anything to do with it.

You do know that Microsquash is not putting out any more updates to anything below 10, right? After either 30 June or July you will have to pay for it. Since they are making me change, I took the free update. I seem to pick up virus' and stuff, so I want whatever is giving me updates.

I like peaches once the fuzz is off... don't like eating hamsters. :anonymous:

 be safe working on your deck and out cutting wood.

 Carl Hmmm where were you when I updated mine??

Well, my current Toshiba is physically coming apart, so when it finally gives up the ghost, I'll go to Best Buy or somewhere with it, buy something that more then likely will have w10 installed, hand over both computers, and tell the guys that actually know what the heck they are doing to "Take all my files and whatever out of the old one, put it in the new one, and make sure it works!"

WHY; yours didn't go as easy? Maybe going from 7 Ultimate to 10 PRO had something to do with it. I have no clue, but it was way easier than I had anticipated, thought I'd be on at least the 3rd headache by now!
