Cool not the kool kind where I live in Kalifornia. I'll have to check what the temperatures are in ID or AK. In the upper 30's again this AM, with the latest low coming thru the last couple days. Been in the upper 30's a couple times again the last week. Not warm enough during the day to open windows to warm up my mobile home, so burned some cardboard last night, got the inside temps to 70, but back down this AM due to the overnight cold, so went out to the full woodshed and grabbed some scraps I save for early season use. It's rare I have to use the woodstove this late, but have done it before. Moving most of my firewood to organize it by kind of wood and place pallets on the redwood boards I took off my deck to keep the pallets from rotting. I have to throw the wood to one side in piles by type, move the rotting pallets out of the way, smooth the ground some to lay the redwood boards, place pallets on the boards and when I have a full row done, I'll start stacking this years cut wood the furthest away and move on to the next newest. I have over two years of extra firewood, money in the bank. More hard work. Didn't I retire the end of March? At least I can go camping/backpacking in-between a few days of work.
    Have a good weekend all.

    Morning all:
Thanks Mike, I need to check that out on U Tube!

Don't say you weren't warned Duane, soon you will need to go back to work to get a rest!
But then, even a bad day of stacking firewood is better than a good day at work. o_O Well, maybe!
The pay ain't so great though!!!

Worked stacking wood until 3PM, beer:30, tired but moving better now. Going to mow the lawn in the morning, shower and head out to go backpacking for a couple nights. Fishing isn't very good where I'm headed, will have to hit a place with better fishing sometime and get a license. Not a bad life.

Thank you Mike and Susan. My thoughts exactly, just poor at putting them to words.
My truck is due for the 5,000 mile checkup in a week, I'll be over that in the next day or two. No biggie, they do little to the truck, just check fluids and rotate the tires is my understanding. I have oil and the filter element to change my oil, may do that Tuesday if I have time before I leave to go to moms again, then on to the Coleman campout Father's Day weekend. Uses Mobil 1 according to a Parts Guy a few weeks ago.

Good morning all. Back from the gym and I am now rousting the son from his slumbers. If I do not hear the pitter patter of large feet in two minutes I will pay him a visit with a big pot and a sturdy spoon. ;) Off to church to plant 30 plants and back home to do a little cleaning.

Morning all:wave:. Busy weekend. Missus made 6 pies(Key Lime- 2, Coconut custard- 2, Banana crème- 2, 3 dozen deviled eggs, 2 dozen chocolate covered strawberries and a bunch of chocolate covered pretzels) for her nieces graduation party on Saturday and also for our Step - Granddaughters baby shower(held at our house) on Sunday. This means I'm going to be a Great Grand Dad again:D. Wait I'm too young for "Great" Grand kids:facepalm:. Just finishing cleaning up from yesterdays shower. 40 woman and plenty of food and all that was left was enough for a meatball sandwich for me and some cole slaw.. Have a good day all.

Colder water and higher oil content ... as best I know. I can definitely tell difference between Copper and Kenai salmon ... I no longer eat Kenai salmon. (Period)

    2 weeks without fishing buzz.
    Going through withdrawals.
Have a new setup not even wet yet.
That's ok. I'll make up for it after next week.
    Enjoy your day all.

    Evening/good morning all.
Did my first oil and filter change on the new truck. What a P. I. T. A.!!! I bet it took over 90 minutes. I only have a garage floor to work on, no creeper, need one of those, still ran the truck up on blocks. Better than the old days before I built my garage. Had to refer back to TW for the filter location, yep, have to remove the front skid plate which is held in place by four bolts. Which to me is nothing more than a heavy duty splash guard. If you hit a rock or stump, going to smash it good. Had oil running down my arm, you remove a plug at the bottom of the housing that holds the oil filter element, then use a plastic thing that comes with the filter element to poke the bottom of the filter with to drain oil out. It would not stay in on its own, so had to hold it in place a little bit, that's what caused oil to run down my arm. Still messy getting the filter cover off to get to the element. If you are not aware, the '16's use an old style type element, not a normal filter that is all one unit. I found what was the engine oil drain plug, in a quite different spot and the small oil pan if you can call it that. I can see now why the oil on the dipstick always showed a tiny bit low, it is the .2 quarts of the required 6.2 quarts required for a oil and oil filter change. Another item the factory does not do right. I only had 6 quarts of Mobil 1, so will have to top it off later. Cut my knuckle on my thumb good when I first tried to use my filter socket on the housing as it slipped off, its plastic, so the tool has to be on it squarely. OUCH!! Not much blood in that location of my hand, had to stop a few minutes to get over the pain.
Cold here, may have to cover some stuff in the garden and hope the rest survives. Low 30's expected.
Had to hike over snow on my backpacking trip, sheltered spots and north facing hills had a few feet of snow still, other wise not bad. No one else out.
