    Hammer?? Nails??

Nobody uses those these days !!

How about a cordless drill and some exterior screws ?!?! :notsure:

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm still lurking, but real busy with yard work and a nagging lower back pain .... has seriously affected my workout routine. I may be getting old, but I'll overcome it.

    Tex

    Evening all:
That's why I was looking for the hammer, I couldn't find the cordless drill or the screws either! :D
Good luck with the back, I think Tom is doing some type of stretching exercises that are helping his.

It followed me home, honest!
I bought this boat to put the Yamaha 40/30 jet on that I had purchased, it's a MV 1648 Tracker GRIZZLY blind duck edition that's rated for a 50hp motor.
Been working on it for a couple weeks to get it ready for the river Walleyes that should start hitting pretty good next month. Can't believe the amount of time it takes to set it up the way I want it to be, today I replaced the water pump impeller on the 15hp it came with. The impeller that was in it looked good, but I don't know that until I rip it apart. I'm planning on putting it on the other Jon boat and taking the 9.9 that's on that boat and put it on the 17' StarCraft as a kicker. :facepalm:Now I have all the bases covered, if only I had more time to go fishing!!!!!!!!!o_O :(DSCN0142.jpg

    Evening Sue!
At least I have the equipment!!! Actually the jet powered boat will get me to a lot of places on the river that I can't get to with the prop motors, should have bought one years ago. One of those deals though where the jet is not desirable for almost anything else but running shallow rock strewn areas, and the river has lots of those. Pretty well a specialty setup, but can be used to get from point A to point B on any body of water, and then use a trolling motor to either troll or position the boat so it's not just one dimensional, besides it never hurts to have a spare boat------or two!

    Morning all:
How's the eye Sue? Getting a bug in your eye can be a PIB sometime.

Different here Mike, smallmouth and walleye fishing really picks up as it gets colder, especially in the river. The Delaware river is more known for smallies, but there's a lot of walleys in there, just need to know how to target them. The guys that know how to get them are pretty tight lipped about catching them and I don't post too much about it either except on here.
The top pic. is probably from the 70's and contains a few walleyes but mostly smallmouths that 3 of us caught, the gentleman on the right is the one that taught me how to fish the river. The bottom is from several years ago, 2 limits of walleyes (3 ea. in the river), one is 29 1/4".

What's up fellow geezers? I'm so glad it's Friday, as unlike some of you fortunate ones, I still have to work. What have you planned for the weekend? I got golf tomorrow, and hopefully get some of my honey do list done so I can get some fishing in.

Leave first thing in the morning for a 5 hour ride in the Tacoma for a week on Topsail Island in NC. Wahoo has been a long time coming. Forecast is for mid 80's all week. Cold drinks, quiet sandy beaches, and the surf. Talk about stress relief, I am in need of maximum stress relief after this past year.
Where do the rest of you like to vacation?
    Happy geezer

I go on mini vacations all the time. Whenever I get stressed out, I drive 5 minutes to a friends house which is right on the ocean. Sit on his deck with a cold one, and a couple of lines in the water. Just yesterday he called me, said the beer was cold & get my ass over. Sat on the deck & watched the full moon rise. Good times.
