Not hunting, set the alarm this morning, and then went back to bed!
About 4:30 went out to burn and there's a doe standing behind the small shed looking at me. Trouble is, I could sit there for a week and not see a deer.:(

Why did you not shoot the doe?

Maybe 70 yds,, plus she was more focused on the commotion over at the neighbors place and took off. I don't really like to shoot doe, especially the local ones. Late in the season if I haven't got a deer I will, but would rather get a buck, or a doe from out of the local area.

Just thinking, welcome back Fred, where you been, was going to post about not hearing from you for awhile.

Reminds me when I was in Alaska, can't shoot mooses on base. NEVER saw them on base except for hunting season and then they were all over the place.

    Morning all:
Funny how they know! When we hunted Jackman Maine, I think there were more deer in town that in the woods surrounding it. :(

Radio this AM talking about snow levels and chain requirements on roads. A couple inches in places, none here, I'm only at a little under 4,000' here in N Kalifornia. They mentioned a law I'd never heard of before, if your windshield wipers are on, you have to have your headlights on also.
Our county is all mail in ballots, dropped mine off at the drop box outside the courthouse last week, so that is out of the way.
Forgot to take my new computer to a computer guy in town, will do that tomorrow.

Hey, I only made one kid cry last night when passing out candy. I usually get at least a couple. I guess I look pretty damn ugly in my mask! Sorry no pics, as I refuse to do selfies.

FINALLY got out this morning, kicked a deer out on the walk in and saw one that was feeding at about 80-90 yds. At least I saw something!

Cheech, you need an electronic predator call, put it in the bushes near the front door and tie some fishing line onto the bush, when they come turn the caller on with the remote and shake the bush with the line. :D  Never tried it, but sounds like fun, one guy that did it said it was more fun to watch the parents.

It's the law here, too. Wipers on, lights supposed to be on.

Have to give kids their exercise.

I did it like 30 years ago in a warehouse. We turned it into a haunted house. Of course the chain is off. I chased a buddy of mine and he fell in front of people and I proceeded to "cut him up" we had people screaming. Fun.......

Was that before or after the TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE came out (1974)? The movie was filmed in my area. In fact, the cemetery in the opening scenes is just a few miles down the road.
