    Morning all:
How much total snow do you have on the ground Mike, that's the worse when snow keep piling up on top of other snow.

Been reading snow reports on IceShanty, guys are reporting 30-40" of snow from Gouldsboro Pa up through areas of NY. Mark's area apparently took the brunt of the storm, hope he's not just sitting in the spa waiting for spring!

Advil cocktails for the sales staff Ken, after a little work!

Most of the snow was gone before this one. So maybe a couple of inches beyond the storm. Just drifts are the issue

We ended up with somewhere between 34 and 36 inches of snow. Finally got plowed out around midnight last night - actually they needed a big snow blower to clear the upper 1/3 of the driveway - just couldn't push all that snow uphill. It was a wet snow and the water created a layer of slushy ice at the bottom making traction difficult. Finished clearing out my and Lynn's mom's mailbox, cleared a place for the dogs to do their business and widened the path down the drive this afternoon. My shoulder are aching at this point.

Closed the college for tomorrow - went in and looked at the status of our lots and the side streets around the college. We still need to haul a bunch of snow out of the lots and on street parking is almost impossible. Since Friday is a light class day I figured it was better to let my maintenance guys rest a bit today and then hit the lots again tomorrow.

On top of this, there is a chance for another 2 to 3 inches of snow overnight into Saturday. Ugh.

Top O' the Morning All:hattip:. Happy ST. PATTY'S Day.

Happy to hear you all are safe and that your getting out from under all the snow. Sounds like a good weekend to fire up the hot tub and good bottle of wine.

Mark wow, you got clobbered! Glad to hear you are getting dug out.

We had the same consistency - concrete - but the total was less. Really dense, heavy stuff; I think a shovelful of this stuff weighed about 75 lbs. I have a gravel drive and a snowblower with tracks, and I always leave it in 'transport' mode with the nose up in the air so it doesn't dig in and spray gravel. For this last snowfall I had to take it out of 'transport mode' and push the nose of the blower down into the morass, or else it would just ride straight up and onto the top of the pile. And I had to go as slow as the blower would go, because otherwise it would bog down. Really, really nasty stuff.

:hattip:Morning all. Hope everyone is all dug out and over the aches and pains of shoveling or snow blowing. Lousy weekend ahead here, rain, snow, sleet mix. I don't know what you'll be getting Dave, but Mark is supposed to get more snow:annoyed:.

Don't keep saying you want to open the hot tub. They may forget about you. :)

    Afternoon all:
And I thought it was just me, what I did shovel I used a SMALLER shovel because using the bigger one was a lot harder! After it sleeted the snow got a lot heavier.
Not much going on here, woke up to a wet dusting and been a very light rain on and off for most of the day.

Yep it's moisture but not the kind that matters much.

Just noticed the glass Ken, well that puts an end to the old age discussion about if a glass is half full or half empty!
Need a few more days of warm weather, down to 6" of snow from 14" and couple of bare spots starting to show.

Looking good here Ken, about 1/3 of the yard is bare and melting fast, hope it's doing the same up at Mark and Mikes places. Sure glad it didn't stay cold, this could have been around for awhile!
I like this weather but am hoping the turkeys don't mate early because of it, that can make for some tough turkey hunting!

It's melting up here - 55 today - but we still have 6 inches to a foot of snow covering everything except where it was plowed or shoveled into a pile...then there can still be several feet left.

Listening to the local redneck radio station over 90 minutes away, most rain ever for the year and it's not over. Over 43 inches. Breaks the record going back to 1890. Rained yesterday some, let up, then a good pounding overnight. Creek came up Sunday night again, never been that high so many times in one season, but not as high as it was over a month ago. Of course the part going across my acre filled in the channel it had and is wider now. Changes every flood. Should be tons of Alders coming up from seed now. Did that 20 years ago. So, instead of a slight bank, it gradually changes from flat and dry to flat and water. )

Ken, looking at your picture of the glass reminds me that the Optimist sees it as half full and the Pessimist sees it as half empty while the Engineer sees it as twice as large as it needs to be.

    Afternoon all:
One more project out of the way, just changed oil in the Tacoma, greased it, cleaned the cabin air filter, and topped off the coolant and windshield washer fluid. Think I will also replace the air filter but didn't have one on hand, it's on the list.
Next I need to change oil and grease the Chevy truck plus check fluids.
Every time I do this I think about the pit I should have put in the garage! Oh well! :(
