    Morning all:
Morning Gary; I bought a Sunoco True Blue lifetime batt. for the 66 a long time ago, Sunoco pays to replace the battery whenever I need a new one.
I need to send in paperwork, including a copy of the original warranty, the receipt for the new batt., current insurance card, and copy of the registration to prove I still have the car that the original lifetime battery was installed in, they then send me a check to cover the cost of the new battery. :)
Originally they tried to get out of it, but the FTC made a ruling that they will stand good for the lifetime battery warranty as long as it is in the car it was purchased for and the car is still owned by the person who bought the battery. I have read on different forums where some others are still getting their batteries replaced by Sunoco under the same guidelines.

Not that intelligent, just got lucky on that one! :) The smart guy was the one who I would assume contacted the FTC after Sunoco tried to void the lifetime warranties. Strange thing, there were other lifetime batteries that ended up losing the lifetime warranty, this particular one didn't, possibly part of some type of negotiated settlement with Sunoco ??????
I did run down to the Deka battery plant in Lyon Station PA today to pick up a new battery at their outlet store, BIG PLANT and looked extremely clean and modern.

Don't say that around my wife, she despises how the place has grown over the years. But you're right, it's a pretty cleanly run outfit. Heck they were recycling batteries decades before recycling was cool! And they're the biggest employer in the county. And they're a family company. And they're very community conscious and give back a lot to local organizations. And I can get "The Usable" for cheap! So I kinda like the place, except when I have to drive near it during shift change...

    Morning all:
I had been down there many years ago to buy a blem trolling motor battery and didn't recall the plant being nowhere as big as it is now. Thought maybe it was just me since I hadn't been there for a long time, I can imagine what it's like at shift change, there were a lot of vehicles in various parking lots.
I only know one guy that lives near me that works there, must pay somewhat decent to drive over 100mi round trip everyday.
I have a big Interstate distributor about 8 mi from me, they are supposed to be good batteries also but I opted to go with the Deka which is a maintenance free battery and a preference for me.
Kutztown is still a nice area!

Carl, yep the facility has grown a great deal, even just in the past 10 years. Plus they own a bunch of other locations in the vicinity such as the old Caloric plant over in Topton. A definite and very large PLUS for the local economy. Smartly, conservatively run too. About the only thing I don't think they own is the original general store building over in Bowers, but the folks who do own it have kept it as sort of a shrine. I have an ice cream maker from that store that never sold; it sat on the shelf until they closed, then got put into storage somewhere. I picked it up at an auction the family had a few years back. Still had the price tag on it!

Oh and I used to drive 85 miles one way to work. :anonymous: Kept track of what the commute cost me. It was an obscene amount.

    Evening all:
:annoyed: Told Jim what to get to reload, he hands the list to the owner of the store and the guy gives him the powder, primers, and tips.
I go up this morning and there is a 1lb bottle of H4895 sitting there, IMR 4895 is on the list he handed the guy. He drives back up and the guy won't take the powder back even though he made the mistake, so he ended up buying another lb of powder. I could probably have used the H4895, but I have a very accurate load that I shoot out of both my 600 and 660 and that's the exact load I'm loading for him!

:woot: Bees were flying low again today, lost count but must be somewhere between 125 and 150 confirmed kills by now, even got a few doubles when they lock up and spiral towards the ground. I'm infested, seems they just keep coming, but I'm putting a dent in them!

    Enjoy the trip Ken!

I don't like killing them either, harmless to humans but they are drilling holes all over my garage. I could put up with a few, but between last year and this year there are/were :) way too many.

NO! Didn't know how to, when I clicked on the link only his profile came up. :notsure:

:woot: Spring gobbler opens tomorrow, hope it doesn't take too long for one to come looking for love!

Mike actually counted it up earlier and we are the top 2 at this point. I guess they will announce the top 5 Monday? I don't really know they will handle it after that

    Afternoon all:

Dang Sue, next time include instructions, I kept saying that and nothing happened!
I did figure it out, and just for you I placed a vote. ;)

Had a gobbler in the sights this morning and didn't shoot, little bit of brush between me and him and a little further than I like to shoot them at. Might have got him, might not have, this way he will be there to hunt next week. A far as I could figure, there were 3 different birds gobbling around the field that I hunt, but only managed to see one and a hen, there is hope for this year! :fingerscrossed: I have another spot that I should hit, I hunt deer there but the road is horrendous to get back in there, saw plenty of turkey sigh back there this past deer season and that road keeps a lot of people out of there. Lot further drive though, but if things get tough I just may take a trip back there, or try to get the one that's coming out in my back yard!
