Maybe you can check the shutter plug to see if there is any corrosion.

lol, that is exactly why I sold my 2013 Ram and purchased a Tacoma. That dodge was the worst vehicle I’ve ever owned.

The 4th gen Tacoma will surely be better than any dodge/ram/whatever brand they are now.

    :fingerscrossed:

People like to knock on Ram but I’ve never had any issues with the three I’ve owned or currently own. My current one has had 7000+lbs behind it for 45% of its miles and still has a better average fuel economy than my last couple of Tacomas.

Love the Cummins engine but you could not pay me to own a Dodge/Chrysler/Fiat/Jeep. Maybe a Jeep (old one) but I have 0 faith in Stellantis or whomever they are today.

Can we get a truck with a Cummins Diesel and a Allison transmission?

Make that truck with no DEF + electronics from a non-Stellantis company and I’d pay good money for it.

I wish Toyota would make a Diesel that competed with the big three. In a dually also.

Why do people here constantly say things like this? Of course Toyota is going to take care of it. Just like every other manufacturer does to their vehicles which are under warranty. o_O

If you talk to anyone outside of the Toyota forum they will have mostly all good things to say about their Ram trucks.

That's a bummer. Cool to be the first to own a new gen but i'm sure that comes with some bugs. I'm sure Toyota will sort it all out. Following!

I agree. I'm not a fan of these. Good for cold country application but when it he heats up they need to stay open. Maybe Toyo will come up with a system override to leave them open 100% of time. Otherwise, a piece of 2x4 crammed in the levolor.

Agreed, I don’t have any friends who own Toyotas but everyone I know that has a Ram has had pretty major issues (including myself).

Interesting. Crazy. People often complain about how much it costs to repair "luxury brands".
$16K, apparently outside of installation cost, to replace this vital part?
    That is 14.5 Apple ipad pro pads. (2024, M2 12.9 inch 128G wifi, $1098)

I wonder what the 2024 Tacoma replacement(s) cost outside of warranty.
Or for that matter the screen on a 2021.

Toyota does make diesels. Wish they brought the 70 series LC to the USA.

Ok buddy. How many Ram trucks have been sold? How many are littering the side of the road broken down?

It’s crazy. A Samsung tablet only costs $200. How can the equivalent stick to a dash board possible cost $16K. That’s more than 2 new dirtbikes.

Do not drive your Gen 4 Tacoma on a snowy hill or in the rain. Got it...
