Lexus of Fresno charged a co-worker close to $900 for a brake job. A couple years later she found a mechanic who did the brake job at his house for $150 labor, she bought the parts herself which he recommended.

Just had my rotors and calipers off to install longer lugs.
With the air hammer, jack, stands and tools in place it took about an hour to swap out twelve lugs and button it back up.

Not much to front brakes, or rear once you've done them once.

Professional shop time shouldn't be more than an hour for front brakes, including the turn.

Aassume the brake job was $130 before the commie taxes got added, right? Gotta pay for those prop 65 warning signs somehow, not to mention the homeless and free healthcare for all.

Wow. Seriously? What a silly law... you can live in your van on the street due to insane housing prices, but you can’t work on it there. Glad I have a three car garage and my own tools. And no CARB.

We all know it. You don’t, hence why you got ripped off, city slicker.

We’d all last a lot longer than you would. Heck, that smog, errrr marine layer must take a decade off your life alone. Cough cough. Speaking of lasting... should we talk magazine capacity, commieland vs the rest of the country?

Pretty much all of us if you’re not getting that already. Enjoy that traffic!

Like I said... $130 cost, remainder is taxes to your stellar state government. Don’t forget that to get that $543, you had to earn twice that before they got their first share with state income tax.

Pretty much, the rest of us are smarter than you think for 1. Not living in LA, 2 not paying $546 for front pads and turned rotors, and 3. Not starting a Friday thread when it’s not even close to Friday.
