1984 Ford Thunderbird (1st car, passed down wrecked, so I called it the Thunderchicken)
1994 Ford Escort GT (1st new car, had too many issues, traded it in after 2 years)
1993 Ford Ranger XLT (replacement for the Escort, purchased used)
1997 Mazda Miata (purchased new after returning stateside - was in Germany for 2 years with no car)
1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS OZ Racing (wife got preggo... not safe to secure baby seat to trunk lid of a Miata, fell in love with the looks of this car... ultimately I boosted this NA car with a Stage 2 T3/T4 turbo)
2004 Ford Mustang V6 (traded in to get my wife a new SUV)
2006 Pontiac G6 V6 (totaled in 2009, hydroplaned coming off the highway)
2005 Ford Mustang GT (immaculate condition, bought in 2009 with only 18k miles over 4 years, custom paint love at first sight)
2012 Ford Mustang GT (loved the grumble of the 4.6L V8 in the 2005 so much wanted more... stepped up to the 5L Coyote)
2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 DCSB (wanted a pick up again, but damn do I miss the power of the Coyote... might have to get another Mustang one day... or get a Raptor, lol)

I had an 86 4Runner as well! Fun little rig but that 22re engine paired with an automatic did not like going up hills on the highway. Really wish I kept that one.

1970 Hilux pickup was my first. Got it as I was about to enter my junior year of high school. With the exception of about a 4-year period between 1992 and 1996, during which I drove a '66 Chevy C-20, I've always driven Toyota trucks.

Cars are fine as commuters but there also better be a truck in the garage.

My first vehicle was a 62 VW Bug...
I drove a few others that my parents had "provided". An Accord, a Subaru station wagon. A Jeep Cherokee.
My first vehicle that I owned was an '86 Toyota Xtra Cab 4x4 pickup. Bought used.
My second was a '95 4Runner. Bought used.
The first vehicle I bought new was my '01 Tacoma SR5 TRD Off Road.
I'm now on my second new truck.

    • 1983 Volvo DL - Parents old family car passed to me. Thing was a tank. Slid on ice into my girlfriend's at the time (now wife) car. Sold to friend as a parts car.
    • 1986 GMC S10 - Bought with a dented hood, broken grille, AM radio, and heater, no AC and way under powered (4-cylinder). Despite all that very reliable. Sold to a friend for use as a farm truck
    • 2000 Mazda B3000 - Bought used. Reliable and a lot of fun. Drove it all over the country. Donated to charity
    • 2019 Tacoma SR 4x4 - :mudding::thumbsup:
