@SH10151 when I purchased my 23 SR I was literally complaining when lowest APR I qualified for was 3.9% 48 months with 804 credit score……now I see these current rates, I guess I got lucky

Good for you. I'm just stating base on what the OP posted I can get a Tundra Limited for the same money. FACTS!

I walked past somebody talking with a customer at my Toyota dealership and it sounded like they were saying that 6% APR for 60 months is a “good deal.”

Lowest I am seeing right now is like 5.25 for 60. The holy trinity of low interest rates, low new vehicle prices, and high trade in value are gone. I think we are going to see deals pop up on Tacomas by the end of the year and better interest rates within the next year (and better after that). But then your trade value will decrease in time.

I will say again that this specific truck is ~10% more than a 2023 with the same add ons. The 10% dealer markup on top of that is insane, and I hope whoever bought it did not pay it. Or they did and that extra 5k is not much to them. If a 50k 3g is just as ridiculous than I hope all these people were on the 3g section preaching about value last year. I don't however, understand people trying to make value comparisons between 3g and 4g and saying the 4g is absurdly overpriced.

Most I did for a car, was my first new car 2004 Civic EX, 4.1% Lowest, 0%

Glad I am not in the market, 50k for Toyota Tacoma :rofl::rofl::rofl: Its a damn commodity mass-produced car, nothing special. I kicked myself for spending 32k on one :anonymous:, but my emotions got the better of me. Can I afford, sure, but some thing s are simply not worth it IMO:smack:

Not ridiculous at all. I take it you don't like facts? The OP posted the off road Tacoma at $60K, and I found a Tundra Limited at $60K. That was what I was comparing it to nothing else. I would also bet the Tacoma TRD Pro will breach the $60K mark, and I would take a Tundra Limited over a Tacoma TRD Pro any day.

I think they enjoy getting bent over by the dealers.

MSRP was 54 and change. Out the door with tax, delivery and warranty is 60 and change. Could have been right under 60 but it’s has the stupid predator side steps.

The Tacoma became a "lifestyle" truck and not a budget work truck a while back, and Toyota has been capitalizing on that ever since. People keep paying big bucks for a Tacoma, so there is no incentive for Toyota to hold the line on pricing. There are a few somewhat reasonable alternatives to it that don't include the Tacoma Tax, but as others have said, all new cars are really expensive. Even a base Impreza is $24K. Crazy.

All of these posts are talking about one of the most expensive Tacomas on the market right now. I haven't heard anyone here talk about the other end of the spectrum. Are the $33k base models also overpriced?

If they are, how are people making that determination? What are they comparing that to for it's relative value?

Yes $33K is too much for a stripped down base model 2 wheel drive truck.
If you just want cheap transportation with a bed then the Maverick is $10K cheaper.

Are you speaking for yourself, I mean you just bought a Gen4. I can pay cash for a new one if I want, but won't.
