Not Tacoma specific since I’m only at 1600 mile but I’m Not sure if it was mentioned yet but have yourself a plug socket, not a regular socket. Have an assortment of extensions handy as well, the more the better as sometimes you need just one more inch.

A wobble extension can be handy if needed although I prefer not to use one unless absolutely necessary.

    Seriously?????

A group of dealers know more about the engine than the people who designed it, tested it and built it. Nothing more F'up than self-proclaimed engineers with "more knowledge".

Good Grief. Strongly suggest to find dealers outside of that group to service your truck. Or, do the work yourself.

Follow the Service Schedule in the Owner's Manual Maintenance Schedule. You won't go astray.

If this were me, I'd take the printed Maintenance Schedule to the "guy" and ask them to show proof to support their opinion to circumvent Toyota recommendations. Then I'd say, "No, thank you. I'll call to verify with Toyota Corporate." Then walk away.

What is their opinion on oil change intervals?

I’m not sure why they would ever suggest going double the manufactures recommendation on any maintenance item.
