FYI, my rear end squeak ended up being the rear U joint. I had a greaseable one installed so hopefully that won't be a problem again.

Also you guys can check out this link for the 60,000 mile maintenance items all consolidated in one nice place.

because I do winter/mountain driving, have high mileage etc,
    I added,
    flushing of the coolant system
when they did the front differential, there was some metal shaving and very dark oil ???
my mechanic stated that those 60 k intervals are good if you really baby the truck
    since I drive about 30 K a year, he suggested I change them at 30 K -
I have been using the same guy for 25 years and he has been pretty spot on when it comes to major service and care of my trucks
the great news is that my break pads are @ 75 % - at 51 k

Yeah. It could be the U joint, like Harshest mentioned. Only way to stop it is to replace it, if thats the case.

U-joint is the piece that holds the drive shaft up in the middle right? Estimated cost on those?

Thanks harshest, I just read your thread. It may just be my U-joint. So you ended up replacing it or greasing it? This crap is annoying me and everyone looks at me when I go through parking lots.
