Still a rip off, find an independent shop or if you can’t learn to do it yourself. It’s not complicated.

Just saw $700 to do plugs, even if you are really slow it’s a 2 hour job max. Those are US$ so up here the quote would be close to$1000, they are hosing you.

Dude. No. This is insane pricing. It's like paying $30 for a dozen eggs. Can you? Sure. Should you? Absolutely not.

Just fyi...in 2021 i paid $600 for oil, tcase, front & rear differentials in FL at a dealership. Have the bill next to me. Best part is they didnt even use the expensive tcase oil, they just slapped the same as the differentials judging by the invoice.

Not sure what inflation has done to that today but that is some insane pricing.

I just did the second round myself $175 for all the fluids (still have some leftovers). I did grab the oil filter wrench and a fumoto if you want to calculate that in for another $60 but toyota definitely isnt giving you the wrench or valve. $15 of that was dinged for shipping as well (ravenol).

I have never worked on a car in my life (40's) other than to change air filters / battery / wipers / pump gas / wash. Nothing mechanically or fluid wise at least. Done other basic mods / electrical stuff. I still couldnt tell you what a tcase does other than something for 4wd, same with diff's. I did end up having a seized front diff drain plug and managed to help get it off without drastic measures ($20 for new lexus fill & drain plug to replace stupid hex). Hardest part is front diff since the location is akward to reach. I could do it again in a quarter of the time im sure. Im sure its been mentioned... but team oil drop on youtube makes it simple for the mechanically challenged :) Wish i would have seen that 3yrs ago.

Best part was i didnt have to leave the truck at the dealership for 6hrs and arrange ride / trouble anyone like the first time.

FYI, find an independent shop that specializes in Toyotas, or learn to fyi most of this work. It’s not that difficult.

LMAO @ the dealer that doesn't like doing plugs.
Who needs that nuisance when you can get that kind of money on drain and fills without breaking a sweat.

Id do the engine oil, diffs, transfer case your self. Look up videos on trans drain and fill and don’t drop the pan. Do your own engine and cabin filter.

Maybe worth paying them for the brake, coolant and power steering but coolant should be good at 100k. They are cheaper and prob just a little am harder than the others.

I would not do the fuel cleaning service.

No way on the plugs at that price. Either watch video and see if you can do it, or independent shop. Up to you on 60 vs 100k.

Never heard of anyone having plugs fail inside 100k, but I would still do them at 60k just to see what the wear looks like and make sure they come out easy. If they look good and back out without any issues, go 100k on the next set.
