I've got my 6112/5160's and my AAL will be coming tuesday. My goal is 2" lift in the front and 1.5" in the back. I'm not doing uca's because they aren't in the budget for now. The shop installing everything said they don't have alignment issues with that configuration so I'm comfortable without them.

Get a print out of your alignment so we can see them. Can’t wait to see it

Are you implying stock uca's won't be sufficient to align a 2" lift? Or are you genuinely curious?

Both. Usually caster becomes an issue with stock uca once lifted. Would also like to see truck

I only have a rudimentary understanding of the alignment terms and my knowledge is limited to reading a bunch of posts on here. What it seems like is that with a 2" lift the stock uca's will get you 'close' to the ideal caster. Caster not being ideal will have a minor impact on stability (whatever that translates into while driving - i have no clue).

For me I'm banking that I won't ever notice (ignorance is bliss type of thing).

As far as pictures - I likely won't have them for a few weeks. AAL is coming Tuesday and I'm not sure when the shop will get me in for install. I will of course update when I've got them.

If I was going to get UCA's, Id' choose SPC and they'd be ~$650. To me the value just isn't there.

I've got mine set at the 6th/5th perch with a 1/4" lean spacer and it seems like I can feel every bump, nook and cranny on our local roads. I'm kind of tempted to have the springs adjusted to the 5th/4th perch to see if that helps at all. I sort of miss the floaty feeling of the stock TRD OR shocks lol.

Bilstein are digressive shocks. What kind of tires you have? E rated by themselves without a lift will ride and feel stiff IMO. My set up is 6/5 no lean spacer 600lb springs and love it. Sorry your not satisfied with ride.

Maybe give it a few thousand miles, I've read a few posts on here where people felt the ride improved after a break in period

I'm on a set of 265/75/16 SL Falken Wildpeaks. Frankly, I may just be hypersensitive about the ride quality, and with a lack of comparison, I only know the feel of the stock TRD off-road suspension and the setup I've got on the truck now. These Lake County roads are pretty rough as it is so I'm pretty sure the 6112's will hold up over time. Was just wondering if it would soften things up taking them to the 5th & 4th perch. I'm alright with sacrificing a bit of lift.

I hear you bro. Petaluma Roads are the shits as well. 6112’s will definitely hold up. What spring you running up front? You ever want to join us to do some off-roading hit me up. Planning something in June if your interested? IMO I don’t think ride will change much going down from where your at. When I had 5100’s I played around a lot with the front. Changed set up for 3rd setting all the way up to 5th no change with ride. I also run e rated tires. They definitely ride stiff. I like the extra protection From punctures off-road. I run like 32psi usually and works for me. Keep me posted bro.

I did the same setup and once they settled I’m now noticing the bro lean (and I don’t carry much in the rear beside some tools)

I'm just using the springs they came with. I don't really have any extra weight yet. I'd be interested in an outing though. I'll keep an eye out in the NorCal group if you post about June, there.

Overload will add 1/2” of lift. Won’t effect ride. Only engages when leaf pack flattens out. But who am I :rasta:

This is mine on 3/4 with stock leafs and 5160s, pretty dang level. I have a Wheelers 3 leaf AAL that I will install at some point and bump up to 4/5. With that I hope to get some rake back and will bump up to a 285 tire. I’m almost tempted to try the AAL now and see how it looks on 3/4.
