I'm upgrading from a 6 year old Pro Comp ES6000 3" system an hoping to go with a 6112 kit. If I'm trying to stay around 3" which would mean running at a higher clip on shocks. Could I save some of the ride quality lost to preload by using a spacer to run at a lower clip setting?

Depends on whether you add the proper UCA and bump-stops to allow for the different range of articulation that you are targeting. Otherwise, not only will it ride like ass but you'll risk blowing your new shocks.

Planning on going with SPC's. Need the alignment adjustability. My toyo r/t's are completely bald on the inside after only a year.

I initially setup my 6112 on clip 5/5 with a 1/4” spacer driver side only, with Jba Uca’s and ride quality was fine… I just had slightly over 3” lift that never quite settled so went back to 5/4 no spacer, no difference in ride.
