Thanks! I ended up doing the install last weekend. I was only able to get to clips 4/3. I was using the Powerbilt spring compressor and it wasn’t holding the assembly well at all. The welds on it were also close to cracking by the time I got to 4, so I didn’t want to chance my luck and go for 5. But I do like how the truck sits now!

You happen to have any pics of how yours is sitting on 3/4 with that AAL? I just got mine installed on 3/4. I have a 3 leaf AAL and need to decide if I’m going to install it or not. I may install it and bump up to 4/5.

So I should add I don't have any AAL in, I installed an OME EL095R leaf pack with the shocks. Here's a pic of the truck in a pretty level parking lot. To be honest I'm really happy with the 4/3 clip setting. There's the slightest amount of rake in the truck with the bed empty (in the pics below I've got all of the stock suspension parts as well as a few other items adding weight to the back). If I had gone to a shop with the professional-grade spring compressor I may have pushed for 5/4 clip setting, but with it all said and done I'm happy with it.

Looks great! How you liking the ride now that you have had some time with it? I see mixed reviews on ride quality on the 6/5 settings. Some say its great others say its rough as hell and they are bottoming them out, etc. Im have new wheels with -25 offset on the way and am going to probably move up to a 285/70/17 when I install them. I am going to need to bump mine up from 3/4 at that time but Im hoping my ride quality doesn't go down the drain also.

Thank you appreciate it. Bro IMO ride is great no complaints. Off-road great as well. Degressive shocks. Some like the ride some don’t. I prefer a firmer ride. E Rated tires will change the ride alone. When I had 5100’s I moved settings around from 3 all the way up to 5th. No difference IMO. Bilstein’s are great. Also I’m running 265/75/16 methods 16x8 0 offset

Does the 2" AAL help with load carrying at all?
I struggle with choices... be it 5100s or 6112s, for ride, etc.. but, when we road trip, ful, truck, it sees the bump-stops quite a bit.
Trying to find a happy medium... whether its a "medium" leaf pack, or a simple AAL.

It does help with load carrying. I don’t carry full load all the time. IMO if I did I would definitely look into a leaf pack. Eventually I will upgrade.I did install wheelers UBOLT flip kit with super bump stops.

Which AAL did you end up using?
And I agree on the load. I don't use the truck, as a truck often.. so... its all about balance.

Another option is helper leaf springs. I have them in the rear. Doesn’t add any lift but helps with the weight in the bed from bottoming out. Doesn’t change the ride much. And only comes into play when loaded.

Correct. However, I was planning on a height adjustment anyway. And I never liked helpers. Hell, never used an AAL either. Always a full leaf pack...

I hear you on that. Gonna get a full pack when my tires need to be changed and I size up and adjust my lift.
