    Nope, just what I was told. At first glance it would appear that it may be possible as they are both listed as 8". From what I can find, the front ring gear is actually 8 and the rear e-locker ring gear is 8.25, with 10 bolt and 12 bolt respectively. It was mentioned in passing, though I'm now curious if he's #1 off his rocker, #2 misspoke/I misunderstood or #3 he knows something we don't.

    They are totally different. The front has a 8" clamshell and the rear is an 8.4" (in Ryan's sport). I dot. Know who told you that, but they are wrong.

    Wasn't referring to the 8.4, was referring to the "8 inch" with e-locker.

    The rear TRD sport is an 8.4" and the rear TRD Off Road (2005-2011) is an 8" e-locker

    The rear TRD Off Road (2012+) is an 8.2". It was enlarged from the 8.0" because of the problems associated with breakage from the 4.0 motor.

    Haha that's the most ridiculous ad ever. Guy obviously knows nothing about what's on his truck. Says they are 'mudders' and wants to trade for an 'at' but those ARE 'at' tires already. And then says tread is like new in excellent condition.... um, those look ready to be replaced already. I'd say about 20% left. You could probably trade him some stock steelies with dunlops and convince him they are the best rims/tires ever for that truck. I could sell him real quick!

    Whoa... Flannel back on brah! Not preachin the gospel over here, just makin small talk about drivetrain. Like I said before, it's just what I was told; so as stated initially, that was my understanding. I'm 2wd with a locker, so I've never had any need nor interest in the specifications for a front diff. I do how ever have a working knowledge of the interwebs.... but thanks.:pray:
