Not some piasa company lol. Its legit. Had it since I was 16. Parents have made lots of claims through them and never any problems.

They are more of a financial planning/advising company but also have great insurance rates too.

after my changes yesterday, I pay $101 a month for 5 months, then get every 6th month free. I have 100/300/100 liability, collision, bodily injury, comprehensive, all that stuff. Additional $5000 in medical coverage, tow and rental coverage. $500 deductible for collision and comprehensive. $5000 coverage of aftermarket equipment (system and rims and lights) and 100/300/100 for uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. Basically the full package. Oh and I have 1 point on my DMV record for a ticket, and 1 not at fault accident.

    I'm getting this one...

    http://www.gigaparts.com/store.php?action=profile&sku=ZKW-TM-V71A

Kenwood dual band with simultaneous monitoring. Vhf/uhf and detachable face. Pretty nice for $350. Was gonna get the ICOM id-880h which gets ALL frequencies .495-999.995 but it can only monitor 1 band at a time, is $100 more than the Kenwood, and has an awkward shaped face which makes mounting more difficult.

It would be just for listening and communicating on the trails and if we have emergency situation. We would actually be able to communicate with some one unlike CB's.

Only reason I'm getting an expensive one is because I need to TX and RX on business band channel 464.500 and have a PL tone ( kinda like a subchannel). I want to be able to communicate with my handhelds at work so in case my radio dies or I'm traveling between accounts I can hear our radio traffic from my truck. I would also be able to respond to any work related 'officer needs assistance' calls in case I don't have my handheld with me. And to top it all off, the dual monitoring feature would be great for me so I can simultaneously communicate on my work channel (or whatever CH we are using for off-road use) while also listening in on local PD radio traffic so I know whats going on around me. It helps knowing all the 10-x and 11-x codes so I can actually understand what's happening lol I think its funny when people listen to police scanners and don't know codes so they have no clue what's being talked about haha

Really? It seems like a pretty good unit. I'll check some reviews first of course. It was actually recommended by monkey proof who seems to know his stuff in reference to hams
