Probably works with kits that have different spindles like Engage. The steering arm may be positioned lower on them, and tapered in both or neither direction. That would allow for both applications for people who's ride height is way high or super low.

My tie rods are top down but thats how Maxtrac spindles are. Total Chaos spindles are also top down.

So if you use the total chaos spindles in their LT setup they get flipped the other way? I'd be willing to bet it is dependant on the spindle you use not whether its LT or MT.

So if you eventually get fiberglass bedsides do you just lose the step side or do they make special glass fenders for stepsides ?

 

he doesnt want to get rid the stepside lol. and no special glass sold for stepsides.

 

Yea pretty much I would have to swap out the bed but I could just trim the bedsides even more but that will probably look weird,, besides long travel is still farther down the road right now I'm working on collecting all the parts i need for my 4x4 conversion
