yeah, the guys im going with are f250's and 350's...i just wanna get out to the dirt. there are some trails from what i remember from trips years ago. plus seeing stuck behemoths is fun when you ride past them with ease.

 

If we can get the key from the forest service there a fire road right next azusa.

 

And now my truck is out of commission until at least Tuesday because of the seatbelt. BE WARNED if you guys take your truck into get the seatbelt recall performed. Could take much longer than you think.

 

the toyota stealership ive taken the 4runner to gives free rentals when the job takes more than a day. last time i was there in 07, i got a brand new 07 tundra.

Its pretty easy but access is sometimes limited depending on how many people already have permissikn for the day that you're applying for. You will have to go the the main Angeles National Forest office in person and and fill out a form or two for a access permit for the Rincon Fire Road. The office is located in Arcadia located on Santa Anita Ave. It's literally adjacent to the 210 on the south side. They may or may not inspect your vehicle just to make sure it's legally registered and that your exhaust system has a spark arrester device. It's not a key that they are giving you but a combination code to a lock.

There is a recall on 2nd gens seat belt? I was just at the stealership greeting me 20K and they didn't say anything

I've ignored all of my recall notices. .don't know what's what on my Tacoma hehe

 

It's just for certain model 2nd gen access cabs.

 

Just AC's? Yeah, the bolts get loose with the doors opening/closing, hence the recall. Turns out my bolts were already falling out and rubbed smooth. Tuesday until the parts get in and they won't release my truck beforehand because of the safety hazard. Was just given a 2014 Ram, but it was too big. heheh
