I love my 75 watt Yaesu, but I'd be lying if I said my HT Baofengs aren't a good value for $40 a piece.

 

Got some welding to do tomorrow morning.

 

And some grinding by the looks of it. Remember to pull the UCA before you start.

 

That was an early pic. Uca is off and grinding is done for both the coil bucket gussets and cam tab gussets.

 

Nice. I still think those two gussets plus the spindle were the best investments I've made on beefing up the front end.

Have you beaten the fuck out of your pinch weld yet?

It doesn't hit with these tires so I haven't been in a rush to do it. I have the plates and will do it eventually.

My friend who is in Rancho could weld up sliders for you. I think it would be like 80 to 100 bucks to get them welded.

But I think if I could do it again, I would go bolt on route.

 

I'm gonna cut my sliders off eventually and rebuild them. When I put the rebuilt set on they will be bolt up.

 

why?

Mostly less weight because my daily driver. Also, the ability to take off/put on whenever.

 

ic. But how often would really take them on and off really. Even if you had two sets of tire you would not changing every week.
