I really like mine, and the fact you can swap out the batteries (AA or AAA) and use use the battery pack stand alone or charge it from any usb wall adapter. They can also be chained together for moar powar, and they make bigger units that can serve almost as competently as a gas generator with out the whole gas part. I am considering doing a setup on the truck for longer stints into parts unknown.

The BioLite Stoves are awesome, however, in some parks (this is for camping folks) they do not allow open flames. Also, the fan that is powered by the fire makes for a REALLY hot and clean flame by complete combustion, so it produces very little soot.

Well it all started when I was trying to read a trail sign and fell into this damn 5 foot deep rut...the whole weight of the truck slammed into the wall of the rut and bent the rim. To my surprise, I threw it in 4Lo and it just rolled out in reverse with no effort. Hi Lift was being a bitch so I left it at home, we got creative with the bottle jacks.

In and out in 30 min.

 

I'm confused as to why you used two bottle jacks with one on the frame. Wouldn't you want the truck itself as low as possible so you could jack the LCA and tire up higher?

 

Also why are you running spacers in the front with LT?

Prolly for the wheels to clear the caliper. I bought extended ARP studs and run a 1/4" plate spacer to clear mine. I figured if I add spidertrax it would be to wide and put even more stress on the wheel bearings.

 

There's no way in hell the bottle jack would fit under the LCA with the blown tire. Tried digging a little hole for the bottle jack under the LCA, but it was solid rock under us.

Had to get it at least high enough to fit the second jack.

 

315's won't clear the spindle gussets with 4.5" BS Methods.

 

That bent your rim? Falling into a rut?

 

Wasnt so much the falling as it was the smacking into the vertical wall of the rut at like 8mph or so. I can't really explain it either, but Brad was right behind me the whole time and saw how I fell in.
