Just started another round of chemo today. Im back in the hospital for it and instead of a short visit they may keep me till my immune system recovers which hopefully will be about 3 weeks. So hopefully we can do a daytime meet just before New Years. I'll know more this weekend on how long I'm in for this time.

And SCS is more Toyota based...plus they're rare to see around here imo

Hey guys so I was reading another thread and they where saying how the mudflaps leave marks in your fenders. I was wondering if any of you have had this problem. Also they said that when you off road the flaps are so low and fragile that they break off easily. So what should I do? Just take them off completely? I have gotten used to them on, but I used to want to remove them. I left them on for function over looks, but now it sounds like even those mess up the truck.

as for the length of them and breaking, some guys like to trim them shorter. The plastic is relatively easy to cut. Just trace the outline of the bottom of the mud flap onto something you can cut out to use as a template. use the template to draw a line of where you want to cut, then cut it and it looks like factory shaped flaps. That being said, they're really only a problem offroad or on super deep dips with a steep incline on the exit.

as for making marks on the fenders, I think what they're referring to is that they can vibrate a little where they attach to the fenders and it can can wear away a little paint here and there. my opinion is, if you keep them on all the time, no one sees it and they stay protected enough. after a few years, take them off and check the paint and if any has worn down to the metal just add some touchup paint. good to go!

They do rub the paint off if you leave them on for a long time. Not really noticeable tho. As far as them breaking off, they lasted a whole weekend in the desert for me then when I got home I backed into my driveway and the front ones broke off when going up the curb. It happened to my cousin too. So that being said the front ones suck and I keep the back ones on only because it says "4x4" on mine haha otherwise they'd be off

Toyota seems to use the "If it ain't broke don't fix it" policy.
