Question for guys who have/had soft toppers. Why do some of them look like they have a large gap between them and the cab and others look almost flush?

Gotcha! How often do you guys wheel? I saw some vids in the thread - are most of you LT? My build is going to be expo, so I doubt I'll be making jumps

 

On a Bestop, you can shift it farther back or forward. The poles also adjust which will make the front rise (tighter fit) or lower (loose)
I don't like the look of the hardtops. I enjoy the versatility of the soft top. You can collapse it but keep it on the bed or remove it completely. I usually go to the mountains quite often during the winter and will throw it on there to cover my luggage or gear. It's not 100% waterproof but can get damn near close with some prep.

Some people must just be lazy...

 

this. and i used it to keep stuff dry and or "out of sight" when driving from point a-b

it was worth having one, served its purpose for what i wanted.
